About The Owner

I am a contractor, married to a nurse educator, and we have two daughters. Grew up in England and now living in California.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2004
Why The Owner chose Apalachee

It has been my wife's dream to own a cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

It is always nice to have a place to get away, and to be able to go away to a dream vacation spot like Tahoe. The cabin is a perfect getaway-minutes from town, and located in a quiet neighborhood.

Great Winter Lodge

My extended family 6 adults and 2 children stayed in this cabin and we really enjoyed it. The cabin had a nice cosy atmosphere and we enjoyed building a snowman in the yard. The downstairs game room was great for the kids- they loved the foosball table. The adults hung out upstairs and we really liked not having the distraction of a TV in the living room upstairs. Everything looked exactly as pictured and was perfectly clean. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Wonderful place to stay!

We stayed at this cabin last week for President's Day holiday weekend. It is our daughters' (7y/o & 3y/o) first trip to Lake Tahoe and the snow. The place was immaculately clean and has the "homey" feel to it - very spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 kids. The entertainment room downstairs was awesome and my daughters had fun playing there. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we neeeded. The living room is very cozy - we loved lounging by the fireplace. The cabin location is very easy to find and convenient as it is within a few miles driving distance to the casinos, the lake, stores and resorts. There were check in/out instructions and reminders posted around the house which made them easy to follow. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely be back!

We were very happy with this cabin rental. It was more than we expected. The cabin itself was very clean and decorated prefectly to give you the cabin mountain getaway feel. Very cozy and had all the amenities you could need. The downstairs game room was great to hang out in and watch movies. We had four adults in our group, but would have been perfectly comfortable with 6 adults.

We extremely enjoyed our stay at the cabin which is clean, light and airy, spacious and with all the amenities essential for an enjoyable vacation or holiday. The personal touch of home was provided for enjoyment of the facilities. We fully recommend any midsize group enjoying the facilities.

All the comforts of home and then some . . .
Special attention to detail in accommodating my family was outstanding. The cabin was warm and provided all necessary amenities, just as photographed. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our vacation at the Cabin and beautiful South Lake Tahoe and will definitely give recommendations to friends and family.
