Get away to this quiet retreat just steps away from Rocky Mountain National Park. Why not climb Eagle Cliff Mountain, rising behind the cabin. Or shop the unique stores in quaint downtown Estes Park. In the evenings, relax under the gazebo with 365 degree views of the mountains and watch for the family of deer that meanders through the property most days.
The cabin is open year round, allowing you to experience the beauty of the Rocky Mountains in any season or during any holiday.

My husband & I own the cabin along with my retired parents. My husband is busy as Principal of a K-8 charter school in the Denver area, so my parents and I are the primary managers of the property. My parents were linguists, living in Peru, South America, for over 40 years. I was an English/Writing teacher for years but now work part time out of our home. We love to get away to our mountain retreat and hope that you will enjoy the peaceful quiet as much as we do.
Ruth purchased this cabin in 2009
My Great-Great Grandfather was a homesteader in Estes Park. Our branch of the family moved away from Colorado, but my father remembers spending summers in Estes park in the 1940's. Several of our family are living back in Colorado, and now we're thrilled to have a cabin in Estes Park where we can build memories with our children. In our completely unbiased opinion, Estes Park is the most beautiful year round vacation spot in the U.S.
Because the cabin faces Southeast, I love sitting in front of the picture window and watching the sun rise over the mountains. Likewise, the gazebo offers stunning views at sunset with the clouds turning pink and orange all around. And on full moon nights, the view is spectacular! The full kitchen and gas grill help to make life easy for us: eating dinner outside on the patio is always refreshing. Most afternoons, a family of deer meanders through the property on their way down the mountain. Our children love to climb the mountain behind the cabin and even play cellphone hide-and-seek among the trees, rocks, and outcroppings. As a family, we often walk the 20 minute trail skirting the mountain and ending up at the Moraine Park Museum. From there, we can take the summer shuttle bus almost anywhere in the Rocky Mountain National Park. Also a short walk away but at the bottom of the hill, we can take the free Estes Park shuttle bus into town in the summer and not worry about parking. Other times of year, we are a short 5 minute drive from downtown.
We have enjoyed wonderful days in the cabin in Estes Park and in the Rocky Mountain National Park with its magnificent scenery-- appreciated all the more when there is a comfortable "home-away-from-home" to return to in the evening. You have decorated and furnished it so great. Don't think you have missed anything.
Picked this cabin for location and because it was "pet friendly". The cabin was equipped with all needs.
Very clean little cabin. Didn't realize how many neighbors were right next door. However no one bothered us and it was very quiet so all was good. Had a very good weekend. I would recommend this cabin.
My wife and I were looking for a place to be able to just spend a quiet, restful, and relaxing honeymoon. After looking at many options and narrowing it down to a few we finally selected this one and we couldn't have been happier. It's a delightful little cabin that is perfect for two, and with the second bedroom it could nicely suit a family of six looking for a vacation in Estes. Location is amazing, the view from the cabin alone is breathtaking; and being only a quick 5-10 minute drive from town you're never too far off from restaurants and shops. It is also only about an hour and thirty minutes from Denver so you're close enough for a day trip and Rocky Mountain park is right around the corner. We highly recommend it, and we will definitely be keeping it on our radar for another trip.
We choose to go visit during the coldest time off the year -19 out side! Fortunately inside was warm, inviting and comfortable! Everything you needed was there! Though another bathroom towel would have been preferred, as we had 4 in our group and only 3 towels for a location that sleeps 7, it's not a big deal but I would have packed one had I known!
Perfectly cozy cabin. There were only two of us so the size was perfect. The bed was pretty comfortable but the couch and recliner not so much. Small and easy to maintain as we were there for 5 days. We literally felt like it was home. The view is absolutely beautiful, everywhere we looked. We were also entertained by the wildlife, rabbits, ground squirrels and the antelope weren't even 100 yards away and Rocky Mountain National Forest is almost within walking distance. The woman we worked with, the owner I assume was an absolute delight. First place I will try to book when I go back.
This cabin was perfectly located in the heart of Estes Park! It is within 5 minutes of the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and downtown Estes. The cabin is comfortable and very well stocked of kitchen supplies, towels and linens. It is very clean and has a beautiful view. There are many cabins close by--but it was extremely peaceful. We had elk right outside the cabin! The only downfall we can think of is the mattresses were not comfortable to our liking and we had difficulty sleeping. Other than that, it was definitely one of our most favorite vacations and plan on returning in the near future! Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!
This cabin does feel very cozy and was clean and well maintained. It was great for a weekend getaway and we felt right at home! I would slightly caution people who are traveling with small children or dogs as the deadbolt on the front door has been disabled, and with very strong winds and cold temperatures, we had a hard time getting the door to latch shut. It blew open early in the morning and our dogs got out. Fortunately, the cabin is tucked away in a nice quiet area so we found our dogs safely roaming around close by. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay!
There is no better place to relax then on the side of Eagle Cliff Mountain! You can hike into the Rocky Mountain National Park or drive in without having to fight the tourist traffic in town. Eagle Cliff Mountain offers easy access to the YMCA of the Rockies, many nice restaurants and a small corner grocers, once again, without having to fight the tourist traffic in town.
