Home is the last home on the road - no thru traffic or noise - other than the wind whistling through the pine trees 4WD required in winter when snow is present. Good snow/ice tires required. Chains are recommended under heavy snow/ice conditions. Amenities: Full kitchen (stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, disposal, toaster, coffee maker, mixer) furnished with dishes, kitchen utensils, pans, and silverware. Star of the West is everything and more than the listing implies. You'll need only to walk in with your suitcase and all your needs will be met. Each photo is accurate and up to date. We've traveled, renting condos and homes, and have NEVER found one that met our needs and likes as Star of the West did! Deadwood and Sturgis are nearby for groceries if you want to cook. There are many excellent restaurants in Deadwood as well. We were entertained daily by wildlife in the hills and meadows. My husband, an amateur photographer, spent hours photographing all the beautiful wild flowers as we walked the area. Finally, all the South Dakota attractions are within easy distances from the house! If we were AAA raters we'd give it 5 stars plus!
