Please note: only available during holidays. Please refer to calendar. Remodeled kitchen, family room and resort style master suite with fireplace. Granite counter tops throughout, stainless appliances in both indoor & outdoor kitchens. Travertine tile, lots of windows to showcase view of downtown from the front and canyons/mountains from the back. Over 5,000 s.f which includes a separate but attached two bedroom, one bath apartment. Main house has three bedrooms and two and one half baths. Master suite is very large with a king bed, fireplace and sitting area with french doors leading out to the pool. Outdoor shower is located just outside the master suite. Master bathroom has granite, large walk-in shower, and separate jacuzzi tub. Large courtyard off the front door and master suite. Formal living and dining room with seating for up to ten at dining room table. Second bedroom has a full size bed and third bedroom has a queen size bed. Views from every room. Separate and connected apartment has one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bedroom with a twin size bed, one full size sleeper sofa, one bathroom, living room, dining area and kitchenette. Outdoor area offers grass areas, fire pit, horseshoe pits, large Santa Maria style pit BBQ, Salt water pool with diving rock, waterfalls, rock slide & spa.

We love this location because of the small town feel, and beauty of the area. Many wineries in the area, casino and quaint downtown. Many outdoor activities.

Family Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful three-day stay at this beautiful house, with four couples and three babies. The views are gorgeous and the large kitchen/family room/outdoor kitchen/fire pit/pool/ hot tub area, all flowing together, is perfect for keeping the family together and happy. The house is set up for fun and we took advantage of the pool slide, the horseshoes on the lawn, the music system, the outdoor bar, all the comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Cyndi and Sean were responsive and caring hosts. We were able to walk into Solvang and participate in the community Thanksgiving 5k and the nice restaurants and then retreat to our lovely hilltop. Preparing Thanksgiving dinner was a breeze because there are three kitchens and the main kitchen is equipped with every possible appliance and cooking utensil. All in all, a perfect vacation.

Amazing Property

We just rented this house over the 2011 Thanksgiving holiday and my family and my husbands family had the most wonderful time. The house is absolutely gorgeous, but also feels homey and comfortable. It is very spacious and comfortable and has all the ameneties you could ever dream of. It is also in an amazing location - within a short walking distance of the main area of Solvang with all of the shops and restaurants. The homeowners were extremely accomodating and quickly responded to questions by email or phone at all time. I cannot say enough good things about this property and highly recommend it to others!

a room for everyone

I rented this house for my family to gather at Christmas time to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were scattered throughout CA and some were coming from the Midwest states. This was closed enough to LAX (2 hours drive) but still a getaway. The town of solvang is quaint during the holidays and good pastries is a stroll away at Mortensen's. The house was large enough to host everyone. We hardly heard a peep from the kids playing games in the game room. They slept downstairs in the adjoining "apartment" so there were plenty of peace and quiet in the morning. There's a complete outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and rock slide to the pool. We only wished the weather was warmer to take advantage of them. The owner was professional and accommodating
