Beautiful home in York steps to the Nubble

We were all overall pleased with our stay. The home was really beautiful and cozy. The home and furnishing were all in wonderful condition. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was full of mostly all of the necessities for a cook. I liked the cul-de-sac location as it gave my kids space to play and run around. (though there is a small pond there, so you couldn't leave younger children unsupervised in the yard.)
The owner was very understanding about a broken blind (that she didn't know about, but that was broken when we arrived) and a broken glass. No charges.
The home is very close to Nubble light (5 minutes walk), but is a LONG walk to both Long and Short sands. Because we had young children whom did not like walking, we ended up driving and parking in the metered parking spaces at the beach. (get there early on sunny, warm days to get a spot!)
Attractions: We loved the arcade on Short Sands, York's Animal Park - it's a nice zoo and a fun (albeit expensive) day for families. We also went Mini golfing on Route 1 - nice place and a nice time.
York itself, we found to be crowded and more suitable for families with older children. In the past, we've vacationed in Wells Beach and I liked it a bit more for us. There are better tidepools, roomier beaches and a less "tourist" feel. Great for families.
In all, we had a blast and are glad we gave York and this beautiful home a try, but we'll probably go with Wells in the coming years.
