Wonderful Sunset Lakeside Cottage with Direct Access to the Water.

My sister and I grew up spending many happy times up north - both in summer and winter. Some of my favorite family childhood memories were on Mullet Lake. We were delighted to find this cottage available relatively last minute and despite our apprehension it proved to be perfect - exceeding our expectations. The interior was spacious and accommodating, lake access wonderful, overall a gem. The owners were wonderful to work with, making out experience a joy from start to finish. I cannot thank them enough for allowing me to bring this tradition to my daughter, introducing my husband's family to Mullet Lake, and one more great trip with my parents and sister. Thank you!

Upon arriving you can't help but notice beautiful Mullett Lake. When it is nice and sunny out the lake is picture perfect. The cottage was very appealing on the inside and exactly as described by the owner. Very nicely decorated and furnished. We had 3 couples that went and the one thing I wish were different is that all rooms have a queen bed instead of the two twins and softer mattresses. The cottage was big enough for all of us and we never felt cramped. The outside of the cottage was very nice we well. The deck and backyard are very large and well maintained. Lots of pretty flowers in the area and the hammock is very nice to sit and relax and enjoy the lake and cool breeze. The cottage was very clean and we didn't see anything out of place, the cleaners do a really good job, well there wasn't much for them to do when we left because we cleaned up very good after ourselves so it was an easy day for them. :-)
The owner was very nice and always responded very quickly to my emails. He was very accommodating and I appreciate that.
We brought our 4 wheelers and a 24ft boat which the dock accommodated easily. 4 wheeling was a little far as we did ride to Black Mountain Rec area, but it was easier to trailer them there as it was a 30 mile ride round trip if we drove them straight from the house.
The lake is very nice and big and you never fell like there are too many people out with you. The water was 81 degrees and felt very pleasant. The water right outside the house is rocky so MUST bring water shoes also I saw some clusters of muscles and if you step on them you can cut you foot easily. Once you get beyond the dock it gets much better. You can walk out quite a bit aways before it starts to get deep.
Overall this place is very nice and worth the money, I would go back and refer all friends and family to visit here as well.
