Picture This: Murphy, NC,'The Friendship House' a beautiful newly constructed mountain chalet with all the modern amenities to make your vacation the best it can be. Breathtaking scenery and bountiful wildlife surround you as you truly feel like you are on top of the world. Our chalet offers you everything you need to take advantage of the pristine mountain setting. Windows to the outside world abound while the spacious great room with its rustic fireplace allows you to stay toasty on those chilly winter nights. The sleeping quarters will offer you a restful night's slumber so you can awaken the next morning refreshed and invigorated. Our fully equipped island kitchen will allow you to prepare some delicious meals or the choice of grilling on the BBQ outside under the covered deck and wrap around porch. The king size bed in the master loft and the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom are 'comfy plus' with goose down pillows and pillow-top mattresses.

Across the hall, is the downstairs full sized bath.

Notes: Our chalet is truly plush, conveniently located and has easy access on and off of the property. We are close to all of the local restaurants, downtown Murphy which is so quaint, historic and just plain fun, and not to mention the beautiful open to the public golf and country club. The golfing fees are very reasonable, the greens and surrounding scenery are breathtaking and the food in the dining room is not only delicious, but easy on the budget as well.

The local area has never ending activities to offer you and your family. Our chalet is just a stones throw from the quaint downtown Murphy area and is just a hop, skip and jump from Asheville, the North Georgia mountains and Tennessee. There is a beautiful country club open to the public with reasonable golfing fees and delicious dining. White water rafting, trout fishing, shopping, antiquing or just plain relaxing; it's all yours for the asking. Once you experience everything our chalet has to offer, you'll find yourself wanting to come back and sit a spell.

Amenities: Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with microwave, ice-maker, stove and refrigerator, gourmet cooking utensils, inside laundry area with top of the line washer and dryer, linens, enhanced cable TV (one in the great room and one in each bedroom, DVD/CD player with home theater surround system, BBQ grill, NO SMOKING in chalet. Activities: Sightseeing, white water rafting, hiking, horseback riding, great restaurants, boating/sailing, golfing, antiquing, bicycling, water skiing and jet skiing, fresh water fishing.

"Our Friendship House Vacation"

When we arrived at Friendship House Chalet we were very
impressed by the setting, decor, and cleanliness of it. The surrounding property is wooded on the back and one side and the drive comes right off the paved street to the cabin door. We enjoyed the small town atmosphere of Murphy and visited several local restaurants but also cooked in the well stocked kitchen. We visited local flea markets, went to the Georgia Mountain Fair, to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Helen, GA, Hayesville, and ventured out into other rural areas. It was pleasantly quiet even though neighbors aren't far and the surroundings were beautiful. Not as mountainous as upper smokies but easier to drive. The morning and evening view from the chalet were amazing and the backdrop of the evening view was mountains one behind another, all thickly forested, just a gorgeous view of nature. The chalet offers an atmosphere for solitude or for entertaining, especially with the wide wrap around decks. We are grateful that Jill and Jerri choose to share their home with others. Our prayers and gratitude.
