|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
The property is rented daily, weekly, and monthly, with a minimum stay of 2 days.
This private one bedroom apartment, located on the second floor, has a modern design that is open and light filled even on a cloudy day with beautiful mountain views. Formerly a very successful Bed and Breakfast, Girdwood Good Night is now available for both short and extended stays and makes a great base for your Alaskan adventure.
There is a separate bedroom with a firm queen size bed and black out shades for sleeping during those long summer days. New in 2008, we have added a queen size Murphy bed in the living area. Leather seating, desk, flat screen TV with DVD and cable, dining area and well equipped kitchen fill out the rest of your space and creates a complete home away from home.
Your bath entices with an oversized soaking tub with shower to lavish in after an inspiring day skiing, cruising Prince William Sound or enjoying one of the many activities that await you. Washer and dryer, ample closet space, and ski storage locker provide plenty of area to stash and tend your personal gear.

We designed and built Girdwood Good Night to reflect our own requirements for a comfortable place to stay while on vacation. Our priorities were to provide privacy, good design, natural light, comfortable furniture, and welcoming feel.
The only thing missing is you!
Laura Beam purchased this chalet in 2000
Girdwood's proximity to Prince William Sound is what first brought us here. Located on a quiet street with little through traffic, Girdwood Good Night is a ten minute walk to the Alyeska Resort Daylodge and a great base for your Alaskan adventure.
Girdwood enjoys an average annual snowfall of about 700', making it a perfect place for skiers and snowboarders. The unit is just a few blocks from the ski lifts. You'll be hard pressed to find a more cheerful, clean, and comfortable place to stay during your ski/snowboard or summer vacation.
Laura has done an amazing job with Girdwood Goodnight! No detail was overlooked in creating this cozy, comfortable, clean home away from home. It's located in a residential neighborhood which made a great home base to explore all the area has to offer. While this isn't a bed and breakfast, Laura left us enough goodies to make our own breakfast on our own schedule. We actually preferred that.
The weather wasn't cooperative when we were in the area and several of our planned activities were canceled. We emailed Laura and she quickly replied with great rainy day suggestions.
Very well appointed loft with modern furnishings. The pictures don't do justice to the property. The full kitchen and Murphy bed made for a very comfortable stay for 5 of us. Laura was generous in providing items for breakfast. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Gridwood Good Night for 3 nights. This 1 BR, 1 Bath condo apartment was clean, well kept, and spacious. It was a perfect home base for a weekend filled with excursions and adventures around Girdwood. We would highly recommend the Girdwood Good Night to anyone planning to visit the area, and would return again.
My Husband, 12 year old daughter and I just returned from a wonderful one month vacation here in July. This is truly a great place to stay and perfectly fit our needs. The unit is upstairs above a garage with a private entry and covered parking in a quiet residential neighborhood. It was extremely clean when we arrived and easy to keep clean for a long stay. There is a washer and dryer in the unit so it is easy to wash clothes as needed. The full kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and dishes as well as full size appliances. There is a separate master bedroom and a murphy bed in the living area that is quick and easy to set up when needed.
Girdwood is a great central location for a long stay. We were able to enjoy deep sea fishing, white water rafting, horseback riding, sea kayaking, bicycling, rappelling, a river float and numerous day hikes during our stay. We also visited the Alaska Sealife Center, Wildlife Conservation Center and cruised to Portage glacier. This location allows easy access to Anchorage, Seward and Whittier without having to stay overnight and there are many outdoor activities to enjoy.
We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning an extended stay in this area and hope to return on of these days if we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity again.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The beds are great, everything was just like the pictures and more. Laura had everything you would need in the kitchen and bathroom. She had wonderful literature to read about places to eat and visit. You will not be disappointed!
Incredibly beautiful and immaculate rental with great privacy. The photos are inadequate in showing this rental's aesthetic appeal. Property demonstrates excellent taste in color, decor, and furnishings.
We experienced smooth initial usage with the startup amenities of coffee beans for grinding, 4 eggs, milk, cereal, etc. Cutlerly, silverware, dishes were tasteful and bountiful, plus the toaster, stove with oven, dish washer, and clothes washer-dryer were simple to use. Also provided was a top-of-the-line Dyson vacuum cleaner to facilitate cleanups of inevitable "postprandial" messes like crumbs off the table or couch. In addition, helpful for attraction maximizations were in-house maps and great tourist books, i.e., generic and town specific, e.g.,Whittier, Homer, Seward, Anchorage, etc.
In short, it was our finest lodging in 20 years of vacationing, and we plan to recommend it to all our friends without reservation
