This exquisitely set panoramic view apartment is on a small tree-lined non-vehicular lane called 'Priest Street' on the highest point on fashionable Nob Hill near the center of San Francisco, with only 5 small buildings, lovely fern gardens and quietness. The apartment is in my 3 story building with trees on one side, and the other side having a full on, unobstructed view of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay with lots of boats and the occasional cruise ship and The Palace of Fine Arts. The is a lovely roof garden with lots of white iceberg roses and fabulous views of the Golden Gate Bridge-you feel like you are on the top of the world when you are on the roof garden. There is also a beautiful fern garden that is outside the bedroom window.
Besides the incredible view, the master bedroom (on the tree lined side) is like an exquisite, very contemporary suite overlooking the fern garden and under the mature tree branches. The bedroom has a large window with tree branches and morning sunlight filtering through. The bed is an eastern king sized bed (75 by 75 inches) and is clothed with beautiful 800 count pure cotton sheets and the palette is mustard, black and white, and charcoal. The duvets and pillows are down and the entire bedroom is custom designed with only pure cotton, wool and linen. There is incredible artwork by well known California artists throughout the apartment.
The small kitchen has everything you need and is very charming and well equipped. The living room is beautiful with great artwork and a working wood burning fireplace. The furniture palate is all white with white leather couches and white leather dining chairs and several glass tables. There are blond hardwood floors throughout with pure wool rugs. The view from the living room is spectacular. There are many white orchids throughout the apartment. The apartment has great water pressure with updated plumbing. The living and dining area is one huge room and gets a lot of afternoon sun.
The location could not be better as the apartment is within walking distance of everywhere, so you do not need a car. Grace Cathedral is just 2 blocks away as are the well known Nob Hill hotels such as The Huntington, The Fairmont and The Mark Hopkins. There are many great restaurants in the neighborhood. The Ferry Building and Financial Dist are a 10 minute walk as is Jackson Square, for antiques. Fort Mason (Fall Antique Show and Art Fair) is a 15 minute walk. Great shopping streets such as Filmore and Union are a 15 minute walk. Polk St, which great stores and restaurants, is a 4 minute walk.
The tranquility is perfect for a business person and there is a wireless internet connection. The apartment is also great for a small family on vacation. The setting, the location, the the peace and the view can all be yours.

I am originally from New Zealand, but have lived in San Francisco for over 20 years where I am an aviation plaintiff's attorney representing people from all around the world. I have 6 vacation rentals - 5 in San Francisco and 1 in New Zealand. I am a keen sportswoman, playing tennis, skiing, horseback riding, badminton, squash and bike riding. I am also an art collector, with an interest in photography and architecture. My favorite band is Crowded House and my favorite performer is Dame Edna.

Because of the great location. This vacation rental is great for tourists, business persons, entertainers and people visiting family in hospitals. There are major tourist attractions within a ten minute walk. Also, the financial district is about a ten minute walk and so is the St. Francis Hospital.
Great views -great location-quiet-nicely decorated
This condo is wonderfully located with great views. It is bright and sunny, the bed is comfortable but the condo lacks many attributes to make it a quality rental. The kitchen counter top is painted plywood with unfinished edges with no outlets on the kitchen counter. The bathroom while functional has a painted cement floor, very stained shower floor, and no trim casings on doors or window. Rugs are stained. The roof top deck has incredible views but to reach it you must climb a very narrow, wooden spiral staircase. It should also be noted that the Internet is not password protected. The owner offered to refund our money but we did not want to spend our vacation time looking for a new location. This could be a fabulous rental with attention to the unfinished details.
This apartment requires you and your luggage to escalate 69 stairs. So pack light. Every time you go in and out you will also need to manage these stairs. There is absolutely no other way in/out.
The only bathroom has a window out to the staircase to the rooftop, which every other tenant has access to. This means there is potential for every other tenant to see you on the toilet and in the shower.
The curtains in the living area don't actually meet when closed, which means neighbouring properties can see in, right though to the bedroom at any given time.
Aside from 4 hooks, loosely affixed to the wall there is no hanging space as the rail of the robe is blocked by random stuff being stored by the owner in that space.
The washer and dryer are not in your room. They are both down 12 stairs and in a locked room, which if you can manage to time your washing around the cleaner doing there's and aren't so late as to wake everyone else in the building AND you are actually strong enough to get the door open and navigate your way around all the junk being stored in there, you might be able to use it. Provided you provide your own detergent AND are willing to use a timber stick to keep the dryer closed!
There are beautiful things about this apartment. The living area is sun- drenched with views of the bridge. It is close to grocery store and tram stop etc.
However we have used VRBO a lot and this is the first time I have written a negative review. It is also the first time I have put everything through the dishwasher before using it ( all sticky to touch). It is also the first time I have found stains, on not 1, but 3 towels, which were allegedly 'clean'. The rugs and cushions are stained as well.
Also, don't plan on cooking. There are no dessert/soup spoons, there are 2 mugs, the vent for the stove is so dirty it doesn't work and you are working on a painted bench. Not exactly hygienic.
Approach this unit with caution, as it depends on what you are seeking as to whether it is good for you.
My mother and I stayed in this amazing apartment for one month and absolutely loved it! The apartment has stunning views of the marina, bay, and Golden Gate Bridge-- there's an even better view from the the rooftop, which you have access to as well. This could be one of the best views in the whole city, the Bridge is totally unobstructed. The apartment itself is bright and cheery, beautifully decorated with all necessary amenities. There is one bedroom, but the two couches in the living room can easily sleep two more (if only temporarily). The location is great, within walking distance of Russian Hill/Chinatown/North Beach. Would absolutely recommend this apartment, clean, beautiful, great views, and good location. Communication with the apartment owner is easy and straightforward, and most of all, very accommodating.
We had a great stay at this place. It's like a home away from home, very cocy and with a spectacular view from the appartment as well as the roof top (you have a view of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge). If you are looking for a great place to stay whether for business or pleasure I don't see how you can be dissapointed with this place. It's traditional San Francisco at its best.
Our stay at Patricia's apartment was brief but we enjoyed every second. The view from the apartment and the roof top is absolutely stunning, with direct views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The decor was beautiful and all the amenities were easily accessible. The apartment is clean, tidy and exactly as described by the host. The only issues we had were the water pressure in the shower was a little weak and the window going out to the stairs that goes to the roof top has no blind or curtain, so anyone on the stairs can see in. We highly recommend staying at this Nob Hill apartment and will happily pass on the word to our family and friends. Thank you Patricia, for being such a great host.
Apartment is tastefully decorated and the city views and stunning...we had an eye level view of the 4th of July fireworks on the rooftop garden and witnessed different sunsets over the golden gate bridge each night. Spectacular!
