We built this cozy, custom timber frame cabin for our home and to start a vacation rental business. We have lived in the Nashville area for 10 years and wanted to move to the country to build our dream home and enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of historic Franklin and historic Leipers Fork area. The Natchez Trace Bridge is 2 miles from our home. Of course, the music aspect of our area can't be ignored!
Al or Karen Davis purchased this apartment in 2010
Unique, Gatlinburg-like fall away lot. Perfect for the chalet we had in mind and had wanted for years!
A close friend and myself met at Timber Ridge for a "girls" weekend and this place was perfect!!!! It is right off the main road, yet you feel like you are in the country. It feels like a home away from home. The owners have paid attention to the little details to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We went to Leipers Fork for some shopping and ate at Pucketts, which was great fun. We also hit a few antique shops and shopped in the newer part of Franklin. The evenings were nice just to sit and relax. Would love to come back when all of the trees are green, i'm sure its absolutely gorgeous!
Absolutely loved this place. The owners Al and Karen went the extra mile of special touches like fresh flowers, homemade muffins and music setting the tone for a great getaway for my husband and I. This place is close to so many wonderful attractions and restaurants. We will be coming back.
Very comfortable. If we didn't have jobs and four kids, we would have stayed for good.
The place is gorgeous. The owners have really done a great job of making a small space feel comfy and homey. I must warn, if you go in the middle of an ice storm, be sure to drive a 4wd!! We left a day early because if the drive froze again overnight, we wouldn't be able to get out the next morning. I would like to go back when the weather is nicer and we can get out and do some things.
One of the nicest places we have stayed. The cabin was beautiful. Franklin and Nashville had so much to offer. I have recommended this place to my grandmother already. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Cant wait to go back!
My husband and I stayed in this cabin for a 3 night stay Sept 2014. At first we were apprehensive about staying in the walk-out basement only, but once we saw it our apprehensions were put aside. It was cozy, clean, quiet and all we needed for the 2 of us. Karen and Dale were wonderful and welcoming then disappeared. It was like we were all by ourselves in the woods. We enjoyed touring Franklin and eating at some wonderful restaurants. This is way better than a hotel, so if you need to go to Franklin or surrounding areas, I would definitely recommend staying here.
