Hideaway stay
My daughter and I have stayed at The Hideaway many times over the past several years.Our enjoyment level is always the same, superb!
Our hosts, now considered good friends, Nadine and Leroy, are wonderful. Nadine takes care of all bookings at Sandy Ground villas. She is lovely,gracious and always with a smile. Nadine is extremely accommodating and a wealth of information for any activities or rentals guests may have outside the villas. Leroy maintains and oversees the Hideaway and the other villas at Sandy Ground. At first, Leroy comes across as quiet and reserved but spend a little time with him and you will detect a dry wit and notice the accompanied gleam in his eye, nothing gets past him! He is a wealth of island information, just ask, he is happy to help you.
The Hideaway is one of my favorite villas here.This is an older villa that has been well maintained. It is open, airy, private with spectacular views. The sunrises are superb from the patio (especially viewing with a cup of coffee).
A very functional kitchen, centrally located, is the hub of the villa. It opens to an covered dining patio on one side and overlooks a stepped down open living room and uncovered patio to the side and front.
Two nice sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and outdoor showers that overlook the water and cays. The villa is well equipped, plenty of linens, beach towels, paper towels, candles and flashlights (needed for nighttime outings).
If you are looking for a truly peaceful stay, don't mind limited WiFi, no TV or hiking a bit of hilly and slightly rugged terrain back and forth between villa and beaches, then, to me, this is paradise. Enjoy!
