Welcome to our Home-away-from-home! This is truly a charming retreat from the everyday rat-race. 'Whispering Waters' is a year-round home and is located only 3 minutes from downtown Penn Yan on the Sunny east-side of Keuka Lake. The property is deep, sitting well off the main road, perfect for peace and quiet or playing in the spacious yard. The year-round nature of the home makes it ideal for all seasons...don't miss Fall Foliage in the Finger Lakes!!!

Inside you'll find personal touches and comfortable appointments, not the sterile atmosphere of Rental Agency properties. The full kitchen is bright and cheery with plenty of counter space. Upstairs there are 2 full bedrooms(1 Queen bed, 2 Twins) with a sitting room(complete with game and puzzle library) and full-bath (shower). There is a spacious Master Bedroom with full-bath (shower/tub) on the south side. A 3rd full bath (shower) with laundry room is located off the living room. Also off the living room is a fabulous sun room overlooking the lake and waterfront, with full dining table and sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space. In the warmer weather relax on the new deck which also overlooks the lake. The views are stunning, especially at sunset.

For water activity, the staircase leads to some of the finest lakefront available on Keuka Lake. The natural pebble beach and gradual entry swimming area are ideal for families with children.

Activities in the area are abundant for all seasons. If you like wine-tasting, you'll have close to 100 wineries to choose from between the Keuka and Seneca Wine Trails. There is even a winery only a quarter-mile walk from the house!

About Lori Dahlberg

I grew up in Penn Yan, and although I've lived in many states along the way, my heart has always been rooted here in the Finger Lakes. My family lives in New Jersey now, but we spend every summer vacation on Keuka Lake. Our children are learning, as I did, all the joy that comes with lake living. They are making lasting friends and memories every year.

There are so many things to do in this area that we NEVER get bored. We always have a list as long as my arm of things we want to do, and places we want to see, but we never seem to finish the list...it's just too hard to leave the lake!

What makes this house unique

'Whispering Waters' is located in the best place possible: just far enough from town to feel that you're 'away from it all', but close enough that you can get in for whatever you may need in only a couple of minutes. I've seen a lot of lakefront, but the swimming area we have is so nice and gradual, and almost completely weed-free that I can't imagine finding better anywhere on any lake!

We had another great stay on the lake. Had great weather, the house was perfect as well and great friends. Can't ask for anything more. The house is centrally located and met the neighbors this time. Perfect!

Wonderful Lakeside House

The property is every bit as nice as its description. The house has plenty of comfortable indoor, outdoor and sunroom space for friends to enjoy time together regardless of the weather. Beautiful lake views and sunsets. Adequate privacy for 2 couples sharing the house. Well equipped kitchen.
Since we are from out of state, it was nice to know that the property managers were nearby to answer questions. Neighbors were also friendly and helpful. The property provides privacy and seclusion but Penn Yan with restaurants, food stores, drug stores, etc is only a few minutes drive away.
Lots of interesting things to do nearby--the outlet trail is not a shopping trip, it's a wonderful trail along the canal. State park just outside of Penn Yan. Curtiss Museum was fascinating and the town of Hammondsport is a pleasant visit.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

My wife, our two traveling companions and I were more than pleased with our accommodations. The house was immaculate, had all the amenities, a great-enclosed porch for dining a deck, dock, barbecue area, plenty of room for all to stretch out relax and enjoy. We have already booked a week for next year.

Fantastic Family Vacation Cottage

We spent the most fantastic family vacation at Whispering Waters. We have usually in the past stayed on Seneca Lake, but this year decided to try someplace new. We were very fortunate to have found this lakeside home. The description and pictures are right on the mark. It is a wonderful home with all the amenities you need for a relaxing family vacation on the lake. Our group consisted of myself, my husband and our three adult children. We enjoyed cooking great meals in the very well stocked kitchen-no need to bring anything with us. The sun porch was enjoyed by all along with the deck for dining, reading and board games-many of which were provided. The beach and lake were fantastic and the fishing was outstanding. The owners made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our week and the communication and information provided were first rate. We returned home, reluctantly, and within hours decided we definitely will be returning next year. Thank you again Lori!

Excellent house and time

We had a girlfriends weekend and had the best time. The house was great and very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The first stop was the winery 1/2 mile down the road. The sun was out, but cold, so we sat on the deck drinking our wine with blankets. Love the house. Already planning next year.
