Spacious and yet cozy lakefront home with all the amenities of home nestled in the woods is a perfect 'get away retreat' for you and your whole family. Balcony off master bedroom overlooking beautiful Lake Huron where you can observe the passing freighters or sailboats. In the morning, awaken to the famous Michigan sunrises. Lakeside of home has 2 decks and other side features a beautiful wrap around, covered porch. If relaxing by the water is your thing-you got it! If meandering through the woods might make you a little more relaxed-you got it! If just daydreaming while watching all that nature has to offer you is what you are after, you won't find a nicer spot. Nice play area for the kids on the side of the bldg. Short drive to beautiful sandy beach, boat launch etc.

This very nicely furnished home will surely give you that much deserved 'Pampering' Amenities: All kitchen appliances including dishwasher and disposal, toaster, coffee pot, microwave. By April there will be a washer/dryer as well. All cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, silverware. There is a VCR, cable TV. There is an outdoor grill to fry some of the fish you may catch. There are 4 double beds and 2 twin beds. All linens furnished. There is no phone so you will need your cell phone. Area: The home is between Harbor Beach and Forestville and both towns offer sandy beach access and boat launch. Harbor Beach has several eating establishments, movie theater, churches, harbor, marina, shopping. Forestville has convenience stores and churches. There are a couple of very nice camp grounds in the area too.

Very nice place to get away

We spent the second last week of August 2009 at this Home Away Cottage Home and had a wonderful time.My wife, myself and 5 of our children had plenty of room and the kids were busy enjoying the beautiful property that comes with the cottage. The beach in Harbor Beach was perfect for the kids. It was clean and you need not worry about the depth as our six year old could wade out 200 feet and it was still to her waist. Lots of sand to build their castles and a beautiful pier to take a walk out 1/2 a mile into the bay. Battle Axe is 17 miles away and has all the big box stores (Walmart & K-Mart) if you need to get a little shopping time as we did the last day due to rain. The cottage home is well equipped with everything you'll need to have a wonderful stay. Thanks so much Susan and hopefully we'll get a chance to return in 2010. Rick, Christine and Kids!

PS - Stop at the Dollar Store in Harbour Beach for the homemade ice cream! Get the peach while it's in season! Enjoy!

Wonderful retreat!

We had a lovely time at this beautiful lakefront getaway. It is clean and well maintained. The view is fantastic from the many windows. Loved the decks. Owners very accommodating and helpful. The many beds are comfortable. Teens enjoyed it there as much as we did! Hope to go back again.

Going on vacation usually means a Marriott or a Hilton for my family. We stayed at this beautiful home with no problems. Very clean and spacious. Beautiful lakefront property nicest I see in the area. The owner was great to work with. We launched our seadoo's at Harbor Beach! We had a great experience.

spacious and what a view!

We were very happy with this spacious, well maintained, updated home. The huge porches were a great place to relax. The rooms were lovely and comfortable(4 queen beds!). The view was beautiful. The neighbors are very quiet. The play area next to the house was perfect for the kids. We hope to return.
