Residents have access to 7 Recreation Centers that offer indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spas, exercise equipment, tennis courts, pool tables, shuffleboard courts, table tennis, etc. 150 chartered clubs offer participation in a many hobbies and crafts. Recreation Center Membership is available for $198.00 per person. One Person must be 55 years of age or older. Members can take guests to the centers for $1.00 per person, per visit. Sun City also has libraries, bowling centers, 3 Country Clubs and 8 Golf Courses. Golf privileges are included in the Recreation Fee. However, green fees are extra: Summer rates $10.00 for 9 holes, $15.50 for 18 holes; Winter rates $$14.50 for 9 holes $25.00 for 18 holes.

Phoenix has Professional Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey Teams. Nearby Peoria and Surprise stadiums offer access to Spring Training baseball games. Other nearby activities include shopping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, water skiing, ballooning and para-gliding. The surrounding area has boating, fishing, water-skiing, ballooning, hiking, biking, horseback riding, live theaters, movie theaters, museums, amusement parks small and large shopping malls, many national restaurants, as well as, fine locally owned eateries. Snow Ski Slopes are within three hours and beaches in Rocky Point, Mexico are within 4 hours.
