Relaxing and Rejuvenating Lake Huron Home/Dazzling Views

We had a great time at this Lake Huron home! The views were beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night. The home had everything we needed. All we had to do was bring food and clothes.

There was ample space for 6 adults, one infant and 3 dogs. We could all move about freely without tripping over each other. I loved the fact that it was dog-friendly. That is so hard to come by and there was no breed prejudice. The owner did not blink an eye at our 100 pound Doberman (who is a big sweetie). Our lab was in heaven with a lake right outside our door!

The decor was eclectic and everyone spent the weekend pointing out their new favorite chachki. I was amazed at how clean everything was. Despite all of the knick-knacks, there was not a speck of dust.

Jack, the owner, couldn't have been more accommodating! I called him the night before our reservation and told him we were thinking of driving through the night and arriving very early the next morning (our infant hates car rides, so we were hoping to avoid 4 hours of screaming). Despite being on vacation himself, he made phone calls to be sure the house was open for us the next morning. So sweet!

The only word we have to describe the view from this property is “stunning”. In the morning as the sun comes up it is the most lovely way to welcome the day. In the evening the stars are so bright. One night we were treated to the yellow moon rising on the horizon of the water! We saw many waterfowl from the great room window including on a couple of days swans. The house is close enough to everything to satisfy all persons in your party staying at the home. We very much enjoyed being far enough away from town to have some privacy but close enough to conveniently pick up supplies. The house is more than comfortable enough to sleep at least 6 adults without bumping into each other. The home and kitchen has ample tools needed to settle in and enjoy without having to bring much more than food (cooking utensils, grills, beach chairs, and linens).
We enjoyed our time there very much and so appreciate you sharing your beach home with us.

Ahhh, here we enjoyed being away from the city lights, the city noises, and such annoyances. Everything was exactly as advertised, even the pictures were an accurate representation of what we found upon arrival. Every once in a while we said "Wow!" as we saw a great lakes freighter go by out thru the great room windows with the million dollar view, (although it could be a million and a half dollar view with a few less pine trees on the left side.) The private lakeshore was enjoyed not only by us, but also our little Pomeranian enjoyed barking at the waves as they rolled in on the beach. The most pleasant surprise was being able to reserve this nice pet friendly house, on a great lake, only two weeks before using it.
