This new (2006) courtyard style home offers the best of everything. The outdoor-living spaces are as fabulous as the indoor areas. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac inside the Vanderhorst Plantation, this 5,376 square foot home (4,176 interior & 1,200 covered decks) offers 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and is only a short walk to the beach. It is the ideal getaway location for a family reunion or multi-family vacation.

Walk through the mahogany front door to your own private sanctuary. The columned gallery leads you to the courtyard with its lush vegetation. A beautiful, private pool invites you to relax. To one side is the main house, to the other is the three bedroom, three bath guest house. The 2nd story of the guest house also includes a large living room with plasma tv, card table, built-in cabinet w/ refrigerator and covered balcony overlooking the private heated pool.

The main house has two huge master suites with king beds. Spacious spa like bathrooms with large separate tiled walk-in showers and soaking tubs adjoin each bedroom. The large living room features a built-in media center, plasma screen TV and fireplace. Guests can dine in the formal dining room or the roomy breakfast area. The beautifully designed and equipped kitchen will satisfy the casual or gourmet cook. While enjoying your morning coffee or throughout the day, open the French doors to watch the sunrise or catch the evening breeze. Hardwood floors can be found throughout both professionally decorated houses.

We have vacationed at Kiawah 15 times since the early 80's with this time being the first with our daughters and their families, including three grandchildren. The Duncan's home is overall the nicest accommodation that we have rented there. It is a perfect design for multiple families with young children, as well as a great location for easy beach and bike trail access.
Erin Duncan was excellent to work with, particularly her quick responses to all questions.
We were totally satisfied with this rental.

How can we thank you for such a wonderful time we had with all of our family. The house lent itself to lots of shared memories and much laughter. We were a mom and a dad with 3 sons and their families. What Bliss! This was a great house. We enjoyed each and every day. We will look forward to coming and visiting again!

The nine of us had a fantastic time in this beautiful home. Nothing complements the beauty and spirit of Kiawah Island so well as a comfortable and gorgeous home to call your own (if only for the week). The children especially loved the pool. This is our second "extended family" trip to Kiawah and something we hope to continue. The "guest home" is fantastic in its own accord. We had such a wonderful vacation- so sad to have to leave. Thank you Erin for your hospitality and help with the details, you made everything so much easier. We will remember theses memories for a lifetime!

This lovely home was the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with our children and grandchildren. Our family has been coming to Kiawah for at least twenty plus years, but never to a home as well planned out as this one; each and every room so spacious and with two separate wings attached by a central courtyard, everyone had some privacy. The home was well equipped (movies, games, a TV in every bedroom, card table in a separate family room) and all absolutely spotless! Erin was a pleasure to work; she couldn't have been more helpful. Without reservation, I would recommend this home for large gatherings of friends or family and plan to come back in the near future! What a delightful experience: golf, nature, a children's program, beach, a variety of shops, great restaurants, and beautiful Charleston.

This was our second visit to this gorgeous home for a family vacation on Kiawah and it was another awesome experience. You could not find a more beautiful property and the floor plan is amazing for providing lots of common and private space for everyone. We love the location on a very quiet, private street but it is also very close to the beach and bike paths. We saw lots of deer outside on this trip! I cannot say enough about how much we love this house and how comfortable we feel while we are visiting. Erin is simply the best! She is a joy to work with and we know she will always be right there to answer questions or check in to see how we are doing. This home holds many cherished memories of family gatherings on Kiawah and we are already looking forward to coming back for our next visit. Thank you, Erin!
