This recently completed (July '06) courtyard home offers the best of everything. The outdoor-living spaces are as fabulous as the indoor areas. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac inside the Vanderhorst Plantation, this 5,376 square foot home (4,176 interior and 1,200 covered decks) offers 5 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths and is only a short walk to the beach. It is the perfect getaway location for two or three families. Walk through the mahogany front door to your own private sanctuary. The columned gallery leads you to the courtyard with its lush vegetation. A beautiful, private heated pool invites you to relax. To one side is the main house, to the other is the three bedroom, three bath guest house. The 2nd story of the guest house also includes a large family room with a plasma TV, refrigerator and covered balcony overlooking the private heated pool. The main house has two huge master suites with king beds. Spacious bathrooms with separate tiled showers and soaking tubs adjoin each bedroom.

Hardwood floors can be found throughout both professionally decorated houses.

We recommend Vacation Insurance: TravelGuard insurance offers coverage for vacation and trip cancellation, travel interruptions and delays, emergency medical and health expenses, lost baggage and more. We have vacationed at Kiawah 15 times since the early 80's with this time being the first with our daughters and their families, including three grandchildren. The Duncan's home is overall the nicest accommodation that we have rented there. It is a perfect design for multiple families with young children, as well as a great location for easy beach and bike trail access.
Erin Duncan was excellent to work with, particularly her quick responses to all questions.
We were totally satisfied with this rental.

Family Reunion

Every other year My wife and I have a reunion with our sons, daughter in law, her brother and wife, and their son, daughter, husband and young son. This year we picked Kiawah. The most pleasant accomodations we have ever had. Erin was fantastic!! she even called the first night to see if everything was ok. We would recommend Erin's vacation home to anybody anytime. We had such a great time, we will come back again! Very "baby friendly".

FANTASTIC! Absolutely gorgeous house with a wonderfully equipped kitchen and lovely pool. Great location with a short bike ride to the beach. Professional management by concientious owners. I selfishly wanted to refrain from comment to keep this place our family's secret.

This house is just as it is described and Erin is professional, thorough and available to address any questions very promptly. This house provides space for children and adults and is so close to the beach. We had a wonderful week and will certainly return.

Great House!

This was our 17th summer visit to Kiawah. We have stayed everywhere and had some really nice houses. This however, was the best house we've stayed in. There were 12 of us and you would never know it. The highlight was the outdoor living space w/ the pool. The kids and adults were in the pool every single day. Erin and her mother in law Dee were wonderful to work with. It was a great week.
