This is a comfortable small cottage. My husband and I enjoyed swimming in the lake as well as hiking on the many nearby paths and found the cottage a relaxing place to stay. The cottage has a great location across from the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. This was our 3rd year at this cottage and we plan to return.

This cottage gave us a great vacation! It was very comfortable and in fact a new bed was delivered while we were there! It has a great location and the lake is awesome, espically for kids! The cottage is furnished with everything you might need. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Owner's Response: A new double bed springs and mattress replaces the older one. The queen was new last year. We tightened the screws on the bed frame.

Quaint family cottage

4 of 5
Submitted: July 13, 2010 Stayed: July 2010
Was perfect for our family of 5, including 3 young children. The lake is about knee deep a quarter mile out allowing the kids to play all day long with no worries. Also, there is a small patch of sand at the waters edge that the kids can play in as well. The cottage was fully stocked with all our needs. The only downsides are the beds are a bit uncomfortable and noisy and there is no clothes line to hang wet towels and suits. Sleeping Bear Dunes is behind the cottage a few yards down the road. The cottage is set back off the road so it is private and peaceful. It had a great old cottage feel to it. The furniture was nice and newer. The bathroom and kitchen were clean. Overall, a great little place that accomidates the best that the Glen Lake area has to offer.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response. We replaced the double bed with a new springs and mattress. The queen springs and mattress were new a year ago. Tightening the screws on the bed frame stopped the squeaking. There are no trees on which to hang a clothes line, but a clothes drying rack is provided. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return to our beautiful area.
