Ski Retreat

The decision to buy this property was sudden. We had looked for several weeks and could not find properties that quite matched our criteria. Our goal was to be on some land and have something that provided a break from the larger Phoenix area and the accompanying hot weather. I came upon the property on a solo trip to Flag and stood on the deck looking at the San Francisco Peaks and a stunning rainbow after a late summer rain. I called my wife and told her that I found the house we've been wanting. As a second home, we wanted to be able for the our kids to enjoy the outdoors and learn about nature and breathe clean air. We also wanted a place for our extended family and friends to visit without feeling that they were imposing. In short - we wanted everything this home had to offer.

There is not many things as satisfying to me as grilling at the outside kitchen looking at the SF Peaks. A glass of wine, the clean air, and the quiet solitude does wonders for my soul. I have gotten great satisfaction taking my young daughters on a hike to collect pine cones and look for 'treasures' on the easy hiking trail behind the house. We have had great times with our extended families including a 50 person family reunion this past summer. Everyone who visits is relaxed and loves staying at this property due to the space and privacy. The convenience to the Ski Resort is just an added plus. After skiing, it's great to go into the jacuzzi, look at the Peaks, relax and reflect on the day.
