However, if you wish to explore the more distant and remote areas of the island a rental car is then recommended

Very nice and spacious apartment, friendly host, but if you want to be next to the beaches and the hotels, you need to travel with a car or scooter. I loved were it was situated, but please research to see if downtown Oranjenstaad is were you wanna stay, if that's the place, then rent this apartment.
