Numerous craft shows & water sport activities are held during the summer & fall months. The Can-Am Watercraft Races are held in the harbor in July with a gigantic fireworks display. Baseball tournaments are also held at nearby Port Hope.
Wagener County Park is nearby and has camping & picnic areas in addition to nature & bike trails. Three public golf courses (Huron Shores, Verona Hills & Ubly Heights) are within 20 miles for duffers in the family who like a challenge. North Park located at the north end of Harbor Beach on the west side of M25 directly across from the marina offers camping, picnic/play areas for family entertainment. Both parks offer shower facilities for campers.
A driving range is located 2 miles south of the home, with a bar and restaurant across the street from it.
The house is situated 4 miles north of the Village of Forestville. This quaint town has a pizzeria, laundromat, sandwich shop, antique store and a party store.
Small boat launch & picnic area available at the Forestville Park, with a nice beach for sunbathing.

You'll need a cell phone since there is no phone in the home. Cottage has well water and also an Abso-Pure type water dispenser for drinking and/or cooking.
Large shaded 2 acre lot in a very quiet, peaceful setting provides lots of room for outdoor sports such as volleyball, badminton (must bring your own), or just relaxing. Picnic table & table-top grill provided.
