|Minimum Stay||30 nights|
A charming newly remodeled and furnished 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment for rent short term in the Inner Sunset neighborhood. Located 3 blocks from UCSF Medical Center, 2 blocks from Golden Gate Park, and ½ a block from a multitude of fine dining choices. The N-Judah metro line and bus line 6, 43, 44 and 66 all stop on the block where the apartment is located.
This spacious 1 bedroom has a full kitchen & bath and sleeps 2 to 4 persons (2 double futons in living room).
We are small business owners. There is a small pre-school in the lower part of the property. We are renting the upper unit for extra income.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2009
It is part of a two unit commercial/residential building. Our business is below the rental unit.
Great central city location. Near UCSF, Golden Gate Park and museums. The neighborhood is chock full of fine dining choices.
As other reviewers have stated, the photos don't do this apartment justice. It is roomy and was perfect for our family of two adults and two upper teen boys. The boys stayed on the futons that the owner had already made into beds when we arrived. It was clean, the closet had ample hangers, and the owners were helpful and available. There was street noise, but, hey, this is the city and we were still able to sleep. If you are driving to this apartment, note that free street parking is available, but you may have to drive around for a while to find it, and walk a few blocks. We felt safe leaving our car on the street overnight. The downside of having a car was that daytime free street parking requires that you park for only two hours. We had to drive our car to a parking garage near our daily destination and weren't able to take advantage public transportation.
This apartment is a great find.
I will keep this short. I agree with the other reviews, the apartment is very clean, very well located and convenient for public transportation. It is surprisingly quiet given the busy intersection. Try San Tung for dry fried chicken wings and Pluto's for a great salad. These are only two of the many great choices of places to eat. Convenient shopping, with Roxies and 8th street market on Irving good options. We will stay in this apartment again as long as our visit is long enough. I cannot recommend a VRBO apartment more highly and we have stayed in three different apartments within a few blocks of this one. We visit SF and our children and grandchildren at least once every year so have stayed at several places. This is our new first choice.
We were extremely pleased with this comfortable and affordable rental apartment. The place is quite spacious for San Francisco. We felt right at home. All the locals that came by were very impressed at our finding the place. The apartment had plenty of room for our family. The bedroom offered privacy for us and the kids slept on the two futons, which folded down into full mattresses in the living area. The area is safe and quiet.
The location of the apartment offered the best of both worlds. It is in a residential area so it isn't as noisy as some of the more touristy areas, but it right on a transit stop. You could hop on the 6 or N-Judah and ride straight Downtown to the more touristy areas. The 44 takes you into Golden Gate Park, which is very close. Also, the area right around the apartment is full of every kind of restaurant you could imagine. You won't lack for eating options after a long day seeing the sights.
This apartment will be our first choice when we come back to visit San Francisco. A great rental at a great price.
Were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this rental. Owner was in steady contact with us and was responsive to all of our questions. Apartment itself is quite roomy (by SF standards) and is in a relatively quiet, somewhat residential area. It is a block away from Irving Street where there are many, many food options and other shopping as well. There is a little liquor store (more of a convenience store, actually) next door that was convenient for little incidentals. There is a bus stop on the corner (half a block away) and a train stop for the N-Judah on the other corner, so you have easy access to public transit.
As another reviewer said, the photos don't really do it justice. The one bedroom has an acceptable queen sized bed and decent closet. It has high windows which are shielded somewhat from road noise by some kind of wall (yet it lets in light and air through the windows). The kitchen is small but equipped (no microwave though). Has fridge, oven, coffee maker, and toaster oven. The bathroom is quite large--plenty of room for more than one person to get ready in at a time. When we arrived, the owner's representative brought us plenty of towels to last the 6 days (but there is a laundromat on the next block if you need it). The main living area had a full sized dining table with chairs. There are two futons which were folded down as beds for our kids--both kids slept fine and found the beds comfortable enough. TV has local channels only, and apartment has free wi-fi (owner's representative gave us the password when we arrived). Large windows can be opened to let air into the apartment, and it also has central heat (no air). This rental really was a hidden gem and we will not hesitate to stay there when we return to SF. The apartment is up a flight of steps, so take that into consideration. Great place to stay away from the hustle of the touristy areas, but with great access to transit to take you to those areas. Walking distance from Golden Gate Park, or a very quick bus ride. Definitely recommended.
We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every minute. Actually we were very surprised as the apartment is much nicer than the pictures show. The owners are very friendly and reliable. The location is not too central, but within a very nice neighbourhood and very close to Golden Gate Park and public transport. The apartment is furnitured in an untypical style which we liked very much. Also, it has been spotlessly clean. It is rather dark during the day, but we didn't stay inside for long then, so it didn't really matter. All in all very recommendable!
We stayed a week+ here and were very happy with the unit as well as with the warm and friendly disposition of the owners. The unit is VERY spacious: comfortable bedroom with a queen bed and a large living room that can sleep many: two each on the two futons and two or more on the floor! The bathroom was huge by SF standards. Finally, and probably the most important to us, was the cleanliness: every room was impeccably clean. If we ever needed a place to stay in SF, we'd definitely look here first!
