Happy Kailua 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Beach House 1/2 block from Kalama Beach Park

The Happy Kailua Beach House is located 1/2 block down from Kalama Beach Park; a small, clean local beach park which has showers, restrooms, and a nice grassy area with picnic benches. The waves at the beach are as gentle as the soothing trade winds, and the white sand is as soft as flour. Our house offers you a place to relax and unwind, barbeque on the lanai with family and friends, or just nap the day away...

This is a newer home on quiet Hauoli street with hardwood floors throughout, a spacious main room and kitchen area, a master bedroom with private renovated full bathroom, two guest bedrooms with another full bathroom, and a lanai with 1/2 bath and yard out back. Downtown Kailua with its coffee houses, great restaurants, and shops is near enough to go by foot, beach cruiser, or car.

Kailua is the second largest town on Oahu, very close to Honolulu but nothing like it in terms of size, feel, and flavor. Kailua blends comforts like great restaurants, markets, coffee shops and shops with a small town feel. This is the antidote for mainland stress. There are barely any buildings over two stories in all of Kailua, and the people are relaxed and friendly.

My wife and I fell in love with the community, the gentle breezes, and, of course, the beach. The star attraction of Kailua is its world-class white sand beach, void of rocks, coral, big waves or rip tides. Your feet will love it here! It is a great beach for kids of all ages, and safe for the little ones.

Wonderful family vacation rental

We thoroughly enjoyed living like "kama'ainas" at the Happy Kailua Beach House. The home was so comfortable and cozy for our party of two couples and a toddler. The living areas were very clean and well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were delightful to work with and accomodating in every way. We highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of traditional hotel vacations. It gives you the opportunity to experience life as a resident, rather than just a tourist.

Quiet and Local

LOVED IT! Steps to Kalama Beach Park where I grew up, 1min drive to Kalapawai for coffee every morning, convenient to highways, shopping, restaurants and just a hop over the Pali or H2 to Honolulu for all the touristy spots too. Beachy feel, very quiet neighborhood, decent decor and enjoyed the "old Hawaii" feel in a modern setting. Oh, and beautifully landscaped! Will go again. Thank you Bill, Aloha.

My wife and I and a guest have stayed here on 3 occasions and have always loved our visits. The location is great, the house is comfortable and the owner keeps it well stocked with beach chairs and beach boards and toys. We look forward to our next stay.

Even more than we had hoped for!! Happy House is indeed a Happy House!

Photos and description were exactly as advertised. We have stayed at many other rentals and this was absolutely the best. Well stocked, especially in kitchen and bathrooms, obviously cared for, very clean throughout. Washer and dryer very helpful. In a wonderful quiet neighborhood close to beaches and also close to town. Trade winds come through and we didn't even need air conditioners at night. Patio area perfect for meals and just relaxing. Carport a real bonus! Perfect spot to come and go for day trips. We were studying for our class and whether inside or out we could be comfortable. Loved local food at Farmer's Market and Kalapawai Market. Bay City Diner really good and even the deli at Foodland had great snacks! Aloha Salads really fresh and good prices. Owner and property manager very available and helpful! It just felt like home away from home! We will be back for sure!

This is a wonderful house to stay at in Kailua. Its so close to the beach, that you will spend more time getting ready for the beach than walking to it. The house is clean and well stocked with everything you will need from cooking to beach bumming. It was very clean and welcoming. The size of the house was very comfortable for our family of 5. My family has food allergies, so I do a lot of cooking and this house had all the kitchen supplies and appliances I needed to feed my family.
I will be recommending this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay. The owner of the house as well as the manager of the property were very helpful and friendly whenever I had a question.
