There are parking slots available right in front of the house (payment required, free at night). Free parking is just 3 minutes walking away.
The house is very spacious and inviting, suitable for a family of up to 6 or two couples. All bedrooms can easily accommodate cribs or small kids' bed if needed.

Keywords: Completely Remodeled in 2009, the house develops over three floors for a total of approximately 1200 Sqft. As opposed to other accommodations, often designed with the purpose of creating as many units as possible for touristic accommodation, our goal was to create a place where our family can stay for extended period of time. it is something we call home.
A few years ago my husband brought me to meet his family in Italy. As I walked through its cobblestone streets, I immediately fell in love with the village he was raised in, Spello! This medieval hill town, nestled amongst silver green olive groves, golden pastures of grain and sunflower fields immediately worked a magic spell upon my heart. Like many towns in Umbria and Tuscany, Spello looks as if it has been taken out of a fairy tale. No matter how many beautiful and exciting cities I have been fortunate to explore, the peace, calm and happiness I feel when in Spello is simply unique. It is my magic place. Out of our love for Spello, we have recently bought and completely restored a medieval house in the historic center. We like to rent our vacation retreat and share it with other people that enjoy the beauty of this part of Italy. I hope you will have fun discovering what is magical about our town. For my daughters it is most definitely the gelato (ice cream!) and the cornetto they enjoy every day at the nearby patisserie - - Desiree -
My wife, her sister and I had 3 lovely nights in this lovely property and found it exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, fixtures & fittings as well as location. We visited Gubbio, Perugia and Assisi and also enjoyed the Hispellum Festival that was actually on in Spello during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend Desiree's lovely house to anyone planning to visit Spello.
Spello and its surroundings are extremely beautiful and this lovely house is the perfect place from which to explore them and to come back to each day. Quiet, comfortable, immaculately clean and very well equipped, it feels like a home not a holiday let. Our family spent ten days there and would have liked to stay much longer. We recommend it highly.
This beautiful Spello house is in a great location. Just a little walking distance away is the center of the town and it is all so full of character. The house was so comfortable, especially after coming from the big city of Rome. Plenty of space and so tidy and clean. If we ever can come back to Umbria this is where we will stay.
We would never have discovered Spello if a friend had not told us about this authentic Italian jewel. Spello is draped over a hill in the Umbrian country side and houses a community that does not appear to see many non-Italian tourists. Our House in Spello lies among permanent town residents inside the walls of the old town.
The description on the web site convinced us that the house would suit our needs, but we found that the quality of the internal restoration, the furnishing and facilities were even better than we had expected. The house was clean and in perfect condition. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry appliances were of high quality, the wi-fi access worked well and we could even find English channels on the TV! The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet and the shuttered windows allowed views of the hills and the street, or privacy as appropriate.
We are couple in their early 60s but the house would also suit a family with children. We had rented a car, but found that it was not needed as the house provided an ideal base for us to explore the historic town on foot each day from the market near the town gate to the Roman aqueduct at the top of the hill. We could easily have spent another week in this fascinating place where the locals were both welcoming and helpful. We are already planning to return!
My husband and I stayed at this amazing property for almost two weeks in early October to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. From the moment we opened the door to this three story apartment, we were in love with the place. The house is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is well equipped to prepare small meals. We spent our days exploring the other Medieval villages in the area plus the wineries and were so happy to come home to our place in Spello after a long day. The House is just perfect! I would highly recommend this wonderful apartment without hesitation.
Also, Desiree, the owner, was a sheer delight to work with. She answered my many e-mails promptly and provided great advise and assistance.
Please consider Desiree's apartment in Spello because you will not be disappointed. We hope to return again in the next few years.
Myself and two best friends booked Our House in Spello for a week as our base while exploring the hilltop towns of Umbria. We loved Spello and Umbria. Our accommodation was fantastic - everything was clean, well maintained and in excellent condition. The house was immaculate, very spacious and centrally located in the main street of this wonderful, small village. The Owners were very prompt and helpful in answering our questions. They provided everything we required during our stay and much more, including local olive oil, jams etc.
Their website is very good and includes much useful information. We enjoyed the friendliness of the villagers and being able to walk to one many local ristorantes and hosterias for dinner eat night.
We recommend Osteria De Dada and La Cantina for great meals and ambiance.
The meals were delicious and authentic to the region.
We really felt we had Spello to ourselves as there were very few tourists there.
We explored many of the nearby hilltop villages which were easy to get to via car and would recommend you visit Assisi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Bevagna and Corciano which we loved. We would highly recommend Our House in Spello to anyone looking for a base while exploring the many wonderful hilltop towns of Umbria.
