100% Pet free: We welcome those who LOVE a CRISP, CLEAN and PRISTINE vacation home. This is the PERFECT vacation house to rent if allergies are a concern, we have YOU in mind!!

Feel spoiled while staying in our custom built Carriage House on a PRIVATE 8 acres setting, just 10 minutes from town and five minutes to the airport. Enjoy your evenings outdoors around the custom built firepit.

Rent the main guest quarters (1200 sq feet) for up to 6 guests for $250/night. Add the 'Carriage Suite' (500 sq feet) on the main floor for up to 10 guests for an additional $100/night.

WI-FI, Flat Screen TV, CABLE included. Built in 2007 for the Parade of Homes in our area, award winning innovative design. High end amenities throughout, in floor boil heat, bamboo flooring, granite counter tops, custom built closets with shelving, drawers and mirrors. Fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans, silverware, dishes, microwave, coffee pot etc. Kitchen also has a large walk in pantry. 1200 square feet total in the guest quarters of the Carriage House, which is the entire top floor. 2 large bedrooms. The master bedroom is connected to the full size bath and has one queen bed and one dresser. The second bedroom is a Hawaiian themed room with one king size bed and one set of built in bunk beds, custom closet with built in shelves and drawers. Washer and dryer, Mud room with large walk in closet. CD player w/ large selection of music for your enjoyment. Stroll through our newly planted Hops Farm up to the back of our property to get a glimpse of both bays.

Add the 'Carriage Suite' for up to 10 guests for an additional $100/night. This is a PRIVATE property, and the 'Carriage Suite' will never be rented to another family during your stay. If you are a party of 6 or less, the 'Carriage Suite' is not included and will remain empty during your stay.

This is truly a unique property to stay at!

About The Owner

My husband and I are both licensed builders, while he is also a licensed and practicing engineer here in Traverse City. My current job involves running our cottage resort in Ludington, MI along with managing our vacation rentals here in Traverse City.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2007
Why The Owner chose Traverse City

We had our Carriage House designed and built for our personal guests to stay at. The secluded location is only a 10 minute drive to town, 5 minutes to the airport.

What makes this cottage unique

Custom built, we paid great attention to the fine details. The in floor boil heat is a nice treat for the cooler months and beyond awesome for the cold winter months! The bamboo flooring throughout provides a soft wood floor, while also making the Carriage House easy to clean and keep the brand new feel and quality. Everything was picked out with guests in mind, from the oversized tub in the bathroom, right down to the fine Emtek door hardware.

The newest addition of the 'Carriage Suite' offers more sleeping or more privacy if 3 families / couples would like to stay with plenty of room to roam as well as thier own space!

Perfect Getaway Spot!

The Carriage House was an amazing getaway for myself and some friends this winter. It was the perfect distance from Chicago (approx 4.5 hours) and had everything we were looking for from wineries, breweries, and fantastic restaurants only miles away. The Carriage House was incredibly clean and the description and photos online were spot on! The place was huge, with 3 large bedrooms, with sleeping room for 10. It is located up a private drive, so it was completely secluded with lots of room to roam. We are definitely recommending it to friends looking for a getaway and are already talking about returning next year!

Perfect location for a perfect weekend

We had six adults stay there and had plenty of room. It is a few miles outside of town but that was great for us. There was plenty of snow but the roads and the driveway were plowed for us and the house was just beautiful. Very clean and felt like a home, not an old hotel room like in town. The views from the large picture windows of the snow covered pine trees were gorgeous. We rented the whole house and couldn't be happier with our choice. We will be checking availability on this house for all future trips to Traverse City. Thanks Angie

We all really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House in Traverse City. We rented it for our stay during my sister's wedding, and had it fill to capacity the entire weekend, but we still had plenty of room. I especially liked the privacy the lot gave you and the fire pit in the back got used every night! Everything was clean, updated, and well maintained. We will be back again someday!
