We had a great reunion weekend with 9 adults and 10 young kids in this house. We may have maxed out the capacity of this house, but it worked well. House was clean and open and the woods are beautiful and quiet (except for our children!)
This large, very comfortable home was exactly as described in the listing. The setting is secluded, quiet, and beautiful, and the home is immaculate. The open, airy layout with many windows lets the surrounding forest become part of the home's environment, making for a peaceful experience close to nature.
The owner provided excellent service, including recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants.
I would definitely return to this property and will highly recommend it to friends.
I spent a weekend in the Berkshires at this lovely home with a bunch of old friends (all males in our early 20s). The home slept 8 of us comfortably - plenty of bedding, linens, towels etc for a large group. The kitchen and living room area is beautiful and spacious - leading out to a wooden deck with Adirondack chairs and a grill. Perfect set up for a guys weekend. The pictures do not even do justice for how lovely of a home this is.
Furthermore, Roberta was extremely helpful and responsive - simplifying the rental process and adding to the calm of the weekend.
I would strongly recommend this rental to anyone considering!
Nice big house, we had 12 people in this house, family that came to Becket from three different states for a burial. Owner helped us out on a holiday weekend so we all didn't end up in hotels. Worked out great, will definitely rent again!!!
We just got back from a wonderful vacation to this home in beautiful Becket, MA. The house is located on a quiet road with very little traffic. Woods and trails surround the house.
The house itself was very clean and beautifully appointed. We all loved the gorgeous photography, much of it done by the owner of the home. The main room was large and so bright and inviting. The kitchen was large and stocked with essential items.
There are 4 good sized bedrooms and three baths, one on each floor.
One of our favorite parts of the house was the large den on the lower floor. We had 6 kids that were playing and using that space all weekend. many of them camped out there to sleep like a slumber party.
There is a large porch off of the back of the house and a wonderful sunroom off of e the kitchen.
We visited in winter, so we went walking, sledding and snowshoeing. The roads are so quiet and rural, that you can just walk around for miles without seeing a car. Heaven!
We hope to return to the house again, maybe in the summer this time.
What a gem! You will not be sorry if you rent this place.
The house was beautiful, very big and could fit my family of four great. The living room and kitchen are open lay out so we could all interact together. Bathrooms where big and with two showers easy to get 10 people ready.
