About William

I'm William, I've enjoyed living in Capitol Hill for 20 years and know the neighborhood inside and out, and I’m happy to help you find your way around the city! I have painstakingly renovated each of the apartments in the Seattle Turret House to create 3 unique and comfortable urban retreats.

I also own and operate a women’s clothing boutique in downtown Seattle (Tom Teifer WomensWear, 519 Union Street Seattle WA 98101, 206-621-7611), please stop by if you are downtown!

I love to travel and I speak both English and French.

William purchased this apartment in 2005

Perfect home, perfect location in Seattle.

  • 5 of 5

The Turret House is the perfect combination of location and quality. Our family of 4 was very comfortable for our week long visit to Seattle. First, it's hard to beat the location and some of the most interesting restaurants we've encountered are within a 10 minute walk (Sitka and Spruce, Nue, Skillet Diner, Via Tribunali, Cider Bar, Bakery Nouveau, Top Pot (for donuts)), as well as Elliot Bay bookstore and many great shops. The unit is well appointed and the bedrooms are seprated by the living room, so there is plenty of privacy. The kitchen is well equiped and overall the sheets, towels, etc. are top quality. The owner is attentive and clearly cares for the property. The home is just two blocks from Trader Joes, a great Co-Op and Skillet Diner - don't miss the bacon jam!. If you have a car, I suggest you pay a little extra for parking on site - it's well worth the convenience.

Perfect Capitol Hill hideaway

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed her several times, both alone for working trips and for family vacation, and each time it's been consistently delightful. It's conveniently located, just a short walk from Capitol Hill food, shopping, and entertainment. Bedrooms are cozily nestled under dormers with big comfy beds. Amenities are satisfactory, good book of local info, and especially nice to have a washer and dryer. This is the first place I look to when business or pleasure brings me to Seattle.

Fantastic location and value

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic place for a girls getaway weekend! It was absolutely adorable--well-furnished, clean, spacious, great location, comfortable beds, and great views. Met our needs perfectly. Just a few blocks from the co-op where you can stock up on delicious foods and it's a nice walk downtown to shops and restaurants (we recommend Plum Bistro for any vegans).

We were able to find street parking, but for $10/day the driveway spot would be convenient. We didn't see any all day parking spots (aside from Sunday) so we had to move the car occasionally since we weren't using it. You can easily get by without a car using light rail, bus, and walking.

We loved the turret in Apt 5! A few custom-made seat cushions would make it perfect. The patio on Apt 4 looked an wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy the city view. William and Shawn were both extremely responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Place, Close to the Action

  • 5 of 5

We rented apts. 4 and 5 of the Seattle Turret house when we came to town for a wedding. We picked this place because of the proximity to the wedding events, but it turned out to be the best possible place and a good deal to boot! The apartments were clean, had all the amenities you would want (including hair dryer, soap and shampoo, laundry, fully stocked kitchen). We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

West Sussex family

  • 5 of 5

This was a really comfortable and spacious apartment with everything we needed. Clean bright airy and spacious for group of four. Everything we needed for 3 weeks vacation. Locality was perfect for going downtown and touring round Seattle. Would definately book here again and hopefully get the penthouse apartment next time as I think it would be amazing. A delightful stay and fully recommended!

A Great Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights in April, and had a fabulous time. The apartment is charming, spacious, nicely furnished and squeaky clean. Very comfortable beds! The window seat in the turret is terrific - we used it a lot for reading, lounging, enjoying the Seattle skyline, and the fading daylight (around 8 pm). Restaurants, coffee shops, parks and supermarkets are all within a few blocks. Downtown is very easily accessed by bus. I think we were the only ones staying that weekend as we did not experience any noise from other units (mentioned by other another reviewer). There was occasional slight noise from the street at night, but nothing more than we have at home. A couple of minor notes:

- if stairs are difficult for you, then this is probably not where you want to stay.

- street parking is available, but has a 2-hour limit. There is unlimited street parking nearby, but if you want to be able to come and go in your car without worrying, you might want to rent the parking spot in the driveway. We were able to park the car on the next block and use the bus for sight seeing.

We loved the apartment and are curious to stay on one of the other floors next time! Thank you, William!
