HISTORIC HOME IN THE FINGER LAKES

Ithaca Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 5 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Welcome to At The Corner! Built in 1876, At The Corner has been a farmstead, rooming house, and B&B in its 135 year history. Recently renovated, the space now features five unique bedrooms, four full bathrooms, a kitchenette, living and dining areas. Four of our five bedrooms have king size beds (one of these rooms also has a twin bed). The fifth has a full bed and a twin bed. Enjoy breakfast on the porch just off the main dining room or wander through our landscaped gardens. At the Corner is ideal for extended family gatherings, reunions, and get-aways. While the rental does not include meals, for weekly guests the kitchen will be stocked with basic provisions to get your stay started.

Physically located in the town of Lansing, At The Corner is just minutes from many local hot spots, including downtown Ithaca, Cornell University, local and state parks, and the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. This unique lodging will be a luxurious base camp for your Finger Lakes explorations.

We love living At the Corner and are delighted to be able to share our home with you. Our vacation rental offers your group the comfort of a private abode and the B&B-like experience of on-site owners who are long term local residents and are happy to share our knowledge of the area.

A Beautiful Stay

My friends and I stayed at the beautiful At The Corner for a friends wedding. The pictures didn't do the property justice, the rooms are large and the gardens are charming. Just as the description mentioned, there were enough rooms for our group, food in the fridge, and towels and linens provided. The property, both indoors and out, was very clean and well-maintained. The owner was helpful and next door if we needed anything. I am highly recommending At The Corner for your next stay in the Ithaca area.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in this home. Our group ranged from a 3 month old to over 60 yrs. olds and we all had great time. The rooms are lovely, bathrooms very comfortable and in general the home is in great shape. The area is full of interesting natural and man made features and we ate well, hiked a little and basically enjoyed each others company. The kitchen has everything one would need and overall we would recommend this property for young and old(er).

The house at the corner is lovely and very comfortable. It has everything you'd need for an extended stay and extras that were nice treats such as a grill, a swing set, chickens (!). Emily & Jase were lovely and helpful.

I highly recommend staying there for a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

Upstate Upscale and Up-to-snuff

My niece's wedding at Cornell's Art museum was beautiful and this house served as home to a portion of our family over a July wedding weekend. The place drips with history, gorgeous grounds and grand spaces to converge. Us Californians aren't used to humidity and no AC- so a little fan power and adjusting was in progress. There was no lack of privacy even though the owners live in a different quarter of the same structure, we felt very comfortable walking the grounds, watching many bird species and getting to know the dozen or so chickens in the coop. A friendly green frog also made himself proudly visible. I would come again, but I have run out of Cornell grads in our family!

In Town for Family Gathering

We had a wonderful stay at "The House on the Corner". We were in town for my Mothers 90th birthday at the Gray Barn across the street and needed lots of rooms for several couples and some adult children. The House on the Corner was perfect! A nicely restored Victorian that was tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained. Having some local history was a bonus as some of our family members had been in the house 40 or so years earlier and were thrilled to see how nicely it has been restored. As it was in early December and the automatic pellet stove kept the living and dining rooms nicely heated and added a real warm country feel. The bedrooms were large and all of the ceilings were high providing a very spacious feel to the house. The bathrooms were clean, well appointed and had sufficient hot water for our needs. There was also a WiFi connection which my children really appreciated.

The owners left fresh eggs from their chickens in the fridge along with enough other provisions to get through the first morning breakfast. I bought some more eggs from the market just a mile or two down the road for the second morning and gained a real appreciation for the fresh ones the owners had left us for the first day.

I should note the owners were available but stayed to themselves allowing us to pretend we were living in such a nice old Victorian.

I would look to stay here again on my next visit if I needed this much space.
