Guestbook comments from the owner
The condo was beautiful. Décor very tasteful and the view priceless. The change in climate took some getting used to especially at night, but that was the only drawback. Loved having a washer/dryer in the unit. Used it a lot. Not too far from downtown Kona but far enough to be away from the noise. Management very helpful in setting up activities and making our overall stay very easy and enjoyable. Hard to leave.
We are Bruce and Kathy McConnell and as you can see by our picture, we love the beach - especially Kona beaches. We live in Santa Rosa, California and are now retired. We have 2 sons who along with their wives have given us 4 beautiful granddaughters to spoil.
We first visited Kona in 2003 and after coming back a few times, decided that we wanted to have a place of our own to visit. We wanted to be on the water and we wanted a place that would be comfortable enough to spend extended time once we retired. We found that with this unit in Sea Village. We love the beach and when we're on Island, that's where we spend much of our time. We love our Condo very much and really do enjoy relaxing on the Lanai with our Mai Tai's while the sun sets. Our hope is to be able to share that enjoyment with you. We purchased our unit in Sea Village primarily because it is Oceanfront. The additional benefits we received are the well kept gardens, the friendly and attentive on-site management, the lush garden court where you can enjoy your meals on the picnic tables; the 4 gas barbecues in that lush garden court that really become a social event in the evening where you can get to know other guests and where they come from; the view of Kailua Kona Bay is another plus, especially at night; spotting schools of Dolphins and even Manta Rays make it a special spot.
When we are in our unit, we eat every meal outside on the Lanai. The Lanai is a great place to sit and read a book. From the Lanai we can enjoy what's going on at the Pool and in the Garden Courtyard. From the Kitchen, we have a terrific view of the Ocean. We enjoy the new features of the remodeled unit very much - the granite counter tops, the Hawaiian ceiling fans and decor, the WiFi which allows us to work on our laptops on the Lanai.
