Authentic and comfortable studio for your Parisian stay
Exposed beams, earthenware tiles on the floor, white walls, black granite kitchenette, sunshine when you get up…
Relaxing atmosphere, no noise in the studio
Large window to let the light in, small balcony
Nestled on the top floor of a Paris-typical construction (from around 1850), inhabited by 8 families only.
You will enjoy the human-sized building.
170 sqft, fully renovated and redesigned
Brand new and very comfortable queen bed (63 x 80 inches or 160 x 200 cm)
Brand new bathroom with large Italian shower
The kitchenette is fitted for breakfast of course, but also enables to prepare light “eats”. There is more than enough to serve dinner for 2.
The place is non-smoking.
Please note there is no elevator to reach the 6th floor. Think of it as a way to remain fit despite all the restaurants !
In recent years the “Oberkampf” district has emerged as one of the trendiest regions of Paris.
It borders “Le Marais”, which is only a few steps away from the studio.
Place de la Republique (Republique square) - extremely close - borders 3 Paris arrondissements or districts (3rd, 10th, 11th).
The studio environment is very safe (you can walk around at night) and lively ; it can be summed up as follows :
Countless cafés / bakeries / restaurants (French & international) …
Many opportunities to buy food :
°° Supermarket open till midnight (100 yards)
°° Meat / fish / flowers ... ( 200 yards)
°° Open-air market twice a week (100 yards) / everyday if you go further
Art galleries and creators’ shops

This small studio was perfect for us. Clean studio room - comfortable bed - modern bathroom with shower - linens for bathroom and beds - small refrigerator and sink - all the small comforts of home. The 7 flights (big steps!) will be difficult if you are disabled or just plain out of shape. We would have minded the lack of internet connection and lack of television/radio if we had not been sightseeing all day. However, for those who need an internet connection daily, there was a McDonalds with free wifi nearby. The studio is located right near 2 metro lines which made navigating Paris very easy. The 2 bakeries within one block made amazing breads and partries. The 2 grocery stores in the neighborhood were perfect for small meals and snacks. And there were plenty of cafe/bistro options in the neighborhood.
We stayed in this studio for an entire week and found it to be clean, charming, and quiet. Highlights are the bathroom (very clean and modern), the balcony (leave the door open at night!) and the location of the studio (close to cafes, restaurants and the metro). The studio is up six flights of stairs so if you're not one to exercise regularly, this is your chance to get in shape. We were very pleased and will definitely book this studio next time we're in Paris!
This studio was very comfortable, quiet and very clean. A beautiful brand new bathroom with fantastic shower. Handy mini-kitchen well-stocked with dishes and utensils made it easy to eat in. The location is perfect - felt very safe walking home at night from the nearby metro stop, and the studio itself is in a building of families, including the very hospitable owners Katia and Philippe. I would highly recommend this place to a young couple or single person, and would definitely stay again!! As a 48-year-old my knees complained halfway up the six flights of stairs but it certainly does give you a good work-out!!
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time visiting Paris for a week, and this apartment certainly helped us to ease into the Parisian way of life!
Firstly, the owners of the apartment were very accommodating and helpful. Comfortable bed, big enough for two, very nice toilet and shower. Towels were provided, along with a well-stocked mini-kitchen. There is a spacious closet to hang clothes, and a small balcony to soak up Vitamin D! The apartment is big enough to fit the luggage of two people, and is relaxing after a hard day of touring Paris. Very clean and well kept-up.
Don't forget that there are 6 flights of stairs to get up to the top, though! (It burns off the delicious French cuisine.) These will keep you in shape, and by the third time up them, they aren't twice as bad as they seem.
The neighborhood is nice, not too busy, and a grocery store is located nearby, along with an open air market on Tuesdays and Fridays! Don't forget to go to the Boulangerie nearby, or the Indian Restaurant a couple of blocks away. Small establishments both, but with varied delicious food aplenty!
I would most definitely recommend this apartment to romantic couples, and sightseers without cars (it is located near two metro lines).
We arrived early on a Monday morning and were able to check into the apartment on arrival - a big convenience when you've flown overnight. The apartment has a comfortable bed for two (and I'm 6' 4" tall, so it's not always the case), and perfect small kitchen with the basics for cooking/eating small meals. The bathroom as a great big shower head (walk-in shower) that was clearly installed very recently. The place was impeccably clean.
From a location standpoint, there are multiple metro stops within a few blocks, and great food is all around (though perhaps that's stating the obvious). For us (a young couple), the 150 stairs separating the street from the apartment were exactly what we needed to counter-balance the great food we were eating. The owners were very nice and helpful. We will stay there again, and refer our friends, when we are back in Paris.
We have high standards for comfort and cleanliness - this exceeded our expectations.
We enjoyed a week-long stay in this studio. The location is perfect -- proximity to Republique metro a huge plus; it was easy to travel all over the city. Bakeries (yum!), a street market, and food stores close by. Pleasant neighborhood -- felt like "real" Paris and not touristy ... so much more convenient and fun than staying in a hotel.
Negatives: Lots of stairs to get up to the apartment (as advertised); not a big deal for us but could be a downside for some, as could the location (6th floor) if the weather became very hot (it didn't during our stay). Wi-fi available close-by (at a local cafe or McDonald's), but not in the apartment.
Positives: Perfect location (can't emphasize this enough!), clean studio, nice bathroom, friendly owners. Would stay here again!
