DIG YOU OWN HOT SPRINGS ON THE BEACH...REALLY!: During low tide, dig just a foot or so down and enjoy your own hot springs for about four hours! (Don't forget to add a cold water channel to the sea as this hot water !)
Our 5-acre complex is located an easy 17 miles S/W of Ensenada Baja Mexico, on the road to La Bufadora (La Buf, to the locals). Our other accommodations include: hostel rooms,an rv & camping park, a bunk house, & a large oceanfront house.
La BufADORA is the 2nd largest blowhole in the world have to Roughly translated as “the snorter,” this underwater cave regularly sucks in sea water & spits it out the cave’s top, as much as 60 feet high, drenching visitors. It is a fun experience & you can even kayak CLOSE to the site!
At La BufADORA you can also enjoy a beautiful ocean view while dining on some local fresh seafood or purchase a variety of merchandise & souvenirs from the many vendors lining the street to the blowhole.
MY complex is located right on the Pacific Ocean beach on Ensenada's Bay of Todo Santos (Bay of All Saints) with a view of the island of Todo Santos, Ensenada, and the surrounding mountains.
Although this little casita does not have a sit-down ocean view, you are just a few steps from the beach via your direct, private beach access. You are also close enough to be lulled to sleep by the soothing sound of the waves each night! This lovely Mexican-style casita has a private entry, full kitchen, covered porch (to sit & listen to the ocean or enjoy the birds), and sleeps 5.
We have it all: ocean, sandy beach, mountains, great food & friendly people. Our white sandy beach is great for the beach comber in you or just to sit & enjoy the view. Small waves & no dangerous rip currents allow safe & enjoyable swimming & other water sports. We have SOME beach 'toys' available for your use.
Like to fish? Enjoy awesome fishing of many kinds of local fish year-around. Or maybe you'd rather be IN the water? There are plenty of water sports to pick from, including water skiing, swimming, kayaking, surfing, & scuba diving. Or, take to the skies...how about a flight in an ultra lite plane? Take off and land directly on the beach for an awesome view of the area that most don't see!
We also offer horseback riding on the beach or into the mountains; choose by the hour, day, or, perhaps an overnight camping trip?
A short drive to Ensenada offers unending shopping, a beachfront malecon, museums, indoor & outdoor restaurants offering food of many nationalities, a theatre complex, &, did we say, shopping?
A short trip takes you to Baja's renowned & picturesque wine valley where, it is said, the first grapes were planted in 1703! Select locally produced wines & olive oil or dine on locally grown food from humble local restaurants, a gourmet food truck, gorgeous indoor or outdoor settings or from the finest gourmet restaurants/wineries that rival those found in California's Napa wine country.
Take a nature walk to understand the effect of the tides in the estuary at the Estero de Punta Banda Ecological Preserve, a Federally protected dune & estuary preserve located just a few miles from us. While the well marked trails are open to the public, you'll probably have this peaceful & serene place all to yourself.
You can golf at the Punta Banda Country Club less than 10 miles away. And, only 3 miles away is the new & super-exclusive Tiger Woods Golf Course complex now under development; however, at the moment, entry to this complex is by helicopter only for invited guests!
Within a few miles, local food stands & restaurants provide a variety of Mexican and American food. El Nemo is one of the best food stands in Cantu boasting super shrimp tacos, Danny's for burritos, La Bufadora Bar & Grill for great food & specials, Jr's for yummy Thursday fish fingers & excellent Mexican entrees, & Mama Bear's for the best pizza & burgers on the Peninsula.
A few legendary bars in the area include Gordo's (home of the rattlesnake tequila), Baja Mama's with her extraordinary Sunday morning American-style buffet, and La Marina offering a great view of the Estuary.
In the event of a medical emergency,Baja boasts premier emergency & medical services. Medical procedures in Mexico range about 40%-60% cheaper than in the U.S. And, Cruz Roja Mexicana (Red Cross) offers visitors a government-supported low-cost clinic & provides free ambulance service (dialing 066...even from your U.S. cell phone....summons an ambulance & quick medical care for everyone, natives & visitors alike).
