La Casita en la Playa has recently been updated and remodeled with an open floor plan that flows out to the 3 sided wrap around porch, bringing the beauty of Costa Rica right into the living space. Our Casita sits 640 feet from the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by foliage, stunning views and dense tropical forest, enveloping you with the natural beauty of Costa Rica.

+While looking at a community under development just outside of Mantapalo proper we stayed at a ocean side property. We fell in love with this charming little town and on the night before we were leaving we found our little casita.
We look forward to our mornings walks on the beach watching the surfers, fishermen and local animals and wildlife. We are located right around the corner from the center of Matapalo where there is a small store, restaurant with Wi-Fi access. The locals working here are extremely friendly and are always willing to help us with our Spanish and ask us to help them with their English. On Saturdays the locals have a market day on the beach where they sell food and locally made items. We enjoy spending time there watching the children play and waiting for sunset. The beach at Matapalo has some of the most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen. Often times ExPats have impromptu evening gatherings that include local musicians, it's a great way to get to know other people who love Matapalo as much as we do.
