Sometimes location is everything. Harris Street House is located in the heart of the Historic District, just three blocks up from Main Street, Breckenridge. Its' Victorian charm combined with modern design and amenities makes it a favorite with family and friends. Upscale finishes such as stained glass, tile and hardwood flooring, vaulted ceilings and custom handmade cabinetry add to the charm and comfort for our guests. Harris St. House provides 2 separate kitchens and living areas.

You can walk around the corner to catch free ski shuttles to the mountain. Groceries, restaurants and shopping are just two walking blocks away. The highly acclaimed Speakeasy Cinema and live theater are just one and two blocks away as well.

The home itself is nicely appointed with hand stitched comforters, hand-crafted pine and aspen furniture, live plants and comfortable sofas and chairs.

About Michael Ratzan

I have been a permanent resident of Breckenridge since 1972. I arrived without even knowing there was a ski area here and fell in love with the mountains, the people and the skiing. It's a pleasure to share what I have been blessed with.

Michael Ratzan purchased this house in 1996

Why Michael Ratzan chose Breckenridge

I built the Harris St. House in 1996 to offer a quality experience for families to vacation together and have the convenience of walking to all that Breckenridge has to offer. My home is your home to enjoy and to relax in.

What makes this house unique

The main benefits are the comfortable layout of the home and the quiet neighborhood. All with easy proximity to all Breckenridge has to offer, from theater to grocery to ski area shuttle. A bonus for some is that Harris St. is the premier street in Breckenridge to do a walking tour of classic homes listed on the National Historic Registry.

Harris Street House walk to everything Breckenridge

  • 5 of 5

This home exudes warmth..serenity..peacefulness...total relaxation. It is immaculately clean and fully equipped for a month or short stay. My fiance and I especially appreciated the selection of movies...family friendly..lovely hot tub and romantic setting...so close to town we did not even need to rent a car. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and felt that he was available to answer to any needs that might arise. We will return...best experience in Breckenridge yet.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 8 (5 adults and 3 teens/preteens) truly enjoyed the Harris St. House! Walking distance to Starbucks, grocery store, dinner, park, shopping - you name it! The house was perfect - lots of room to it feel crowded! The owner was great and the furnishing were perfect! I hope we can stay at this house again!

Fabulous Ski Vacation at the Harris Street House

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family including grandparents, adult children and four young children had a great ski vacation while staying at the Harris Street House. The owner was very easy to work with and the home was welcoming, very clean and extremely well stocked with upgraded amenities. Everything from the well stocked kitchen, nice linens, games, puzzles, movies, new washer & dryer, gas grill to the well maintained hot tub made our stay enjoyable and very comfortable. The location was very convenient to the free shuttle, grocery store and all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. As a vacation rental home owner myself, I appreciate all the behind the scenes effort that the owner puts into maintaining this wonderful vacation rental. On the scale of 1-5, We all gave it a 10. We will definitely return.

Great home and the location can't be beat!

I rented this home for six months during the summer and fall. The home was great and being within walking distance of all of Breckenridge's downtown restaurants and amenities was amazing. I recommend this rental to anybody!

This home is an EXCELLENT vacation destination for a weekend, a week, a month, etc. The home is in a perfect location for walking to and from Main Street in Breckenridge and provides easy access to the bus stops which will run you right to the Gondola for skiing. The owner is local, is very friendly and provides excellent customer service at a moments notice. The house is fully equipped and has PLENTY of space and can comfortably house a nice sized group (two rooms with 2 twins beds in each....3 rooms with a queen bed in each as well as two pull out couches) with all the necessities. Great hot tub on the back porch. Grill on front porch. Multiple bathrooms, brand new washer and dryer, plenty of parking space. Set in the Historic District so it's quiet and extremely convenient. I would HIGHLY recommend booking this house for your Breckenridge stay.
