Casa Colibrí (Hummingbird House), our beloved second home, is a spacious house with excellent modern furnishings and traditional Mexican decor and artwork only 20 to 30 minutes outside of downtown Oaxaca. Built of adobe, indoor temperature is always comfortable. It is nestled in a mountainous valley an easy drive to downtown but light years away from the bustle and noise of the city. Each morning, walk up the foothills of Benito Juarez National Park or sit on the terrace and watch the spectacular, ever-changing views of the mountains and the valley. An ideal place to rest and recharge your batteries after busy days touring all the wonders that Oaxaca has to offer. You will need a car unless you are skilled at taking moto-taxis and regular taxis or buses into town.
