This is a magnificently restored 1895 town house in historic Columbia Heights.
Located just steps to sightseeing and everything else that our amazing capital has to offer in a historical family neighborhood.
Award winning design for contemporary lifestyle while still preserving 1895's elegance. Unit Two is 2,500 sq ft duplex. Spacious, elegant and luxury condo, it has four bedrooms and two full tiled bathrooms.
Beautiful designer kitchen fully equipped with all stainless steel appliances, including Viking range and white Italian cabinets. The unit has two queen-sized bedrooms, one king-size bedroom and one full-size bedroom.
Garage parking is available near our unit for $20 to $30 a day.
Street parking is by permit only between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We can get visitor's parking pass for you from a local police station for $40 for the stay, and you can park, day and night, on the street. The parking pass is for zone 1, so any street marked zone 1 on the signs is fine (quite a large area). Hi, originally from Prague, Czech Republic, Washington DC has become my second home twelve years ago when I came to study at Georgetown University. I live in this wonderful city with my two boys Alexander and Christopher, only few blocks from the rental property. We spend every weekend at a museum (Air and Space is the favorite), hiking through Rock Creek Park or on a fifty year old carousel in front of the Smithsonian Gardens and we hope that all our guests enjoy this vibrant city as much as we do.
Eva purchased this apartment in 2005
As a single mom I need to provide for my two boys. I love to travel and so do my kids. Most of the time I travel out of DC and the situation helped me see that just as I love to leave the city and to explore other places, there are people who come to visit DC to spend time with their families. My two boys, my family, are the best critics of any place, as no furnishings are safe from their play and no vase is sacred to them. Our places are luxurious but ready to be used. I understand what most travelers need to feel comfortable since I have traveled extensively around the world to Africa, South and Central America, Asia and Europe . Please come and share your vacation time in our home. I promise that we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. This is the reason I bought my rental property.

Very nice & quaint home.
Very clean & comfortable beds + plenty of linens.
We had 3 sisters with 6 kids + enjoyed walking to the metro + Giant grocery store. We saved money by cooking our own breakfasts + dinners.
Very nice place! Pleasant location, good access to Metro; lots of space and amenities inside for people to stay. Everything was clean and in good condition, it made a great home base for us during our 7-day stay for a scientific conference. Lots of stairs but that's not a problem unless you have someone with impaired mobility. We had seven people sleeping there comfortably, and we could easily have fit in a few more, with sufficient willingness to share beds.
Only one minor issue to watch out for: hot water amount/pressure. If seven people take morning showers, the last person may not have hot water.
We stayed in this home for 5 nights with 3 adults and 3 children. To be up front I have high standards. I stay in VRBO's at least monthly and want luxury. This home is old and works but is not what I hoped for. It is very well used, the floor boards squeak all the time and the A/C did not work great. Things in the home were not well kept up in my opinion. The beds were fine. There was toilet paper, but not one napkin, paper towel etc. The neighborhood was fine. Good for a place to lay your head, but you won't feel spoiled. Lots of stairs.
The townhouse worked out great for a party of 10 who came to DC for the Nike Women's 1/2 Marathon. The Metro was within walking distance and there are an abundance of retail stores and restaurants close by. The neighborhood is very charming, however, you want to make sure you go out in a group at night. This is not unique to this neighborhood, it is simply a rule I follow whenever I travel. There was plenty of hot water for the showers, the kitchen was great as well. The only complaint I have is with the internet service. It was quite slow at time. Eva is great to work with and responds very timely to emails and phone calls.
The home was nice and well kept. Everything was very clean! Located just a short walk from the Metro. Very close to restaurants and markets. 10 of us stayed for 4 days and we all felt safe and comfortable.
Description of listing was accurate; cute; clean and well furnished. Walking distance to the metro and local dining/ shopping. I would recommend this townhouse when visiting DC. Very affordable.
