Luxury private cabins by creek for rent in quaint little Ferncliff area of Allenspark, 20-25 minutes between Estes Park & Lyons on Hwy Business 7 , also a short and pleasant drive from Boulder & Front Range towns,
secluded yet accessible, private and peaceful, far enough away from all the buzz yet near enough to easily get into town for dinner or a hike in the park.
This cabin is on a private access dirt road just off a paved road, which has a total of only 6 cabins on this little road, this particular cabin is number 5 out of 6 , or 2nd to last, from the road turnoff. All are in a truly enchanting setting, feels like a hidden valley, surrounded by trees & high rocky cliffs, nestled in along a creek.
The perfect and conveniently close getaway for celebrating a special birthday or romantic occasion or anniversary or girls weekend, really any excuse will do!
Escape to nature and soak up some peace and quiet, and much needed rest and relaxation :-)
This cabin is next to a creek, so you can sit on the porch for happy hour or a game of cards and enjoy the bubbling water as it rushes by, also crack open the cabin windows and you can hear it from inside too! Complete calm!
This cabin may look rustic from the outside, but step inside to contemporary bliss!
It has been meticulously updated with modern day conveniences, is roomy and spacious, and has its own cozy woodburning fireplace, leather couch, tv with DirecTV satellite tv, dvds & vhs movies, fun games to play, interesting books to browse.....ahhh plenty of places to nap!
It has its own deck with trees growing thru it as well as patio furniture and a gas grill is available in warmer months to bbq out on, inside you'll find a full kitchen with granite countertops and full size fridge and range/oven, fully stocked with all the basics like cookware & glasses & silverware, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, blender. Margarita, anyone?
There are two bedrooms, the first has a Queen sized bed that is luxurious and heavenly with fine linens and blankets to keep you warm if the nights get chilly! The second bedroom has twin bunk beds great for the kiddos or anyone. There is one bathroom which has granite countertops and a soothing shower and tub to soak in if you feel like lazily lounging in the bubbles.
Regarding the cabin & phones, there is unfortunately no cell phone service or computer access or internet on site, but the cabin does have its own landline phone with an answering machine, and also there is a coffee shop not too far that has wireless internet access available.
We truly look forward to your upcoming stay at one of our cabins and ensuring you leave relaxed, refreshed & renewed!

We were drawn to this area and immediately fell in love because it is indeed astounding and humbling with the sheer beauty of nature surrounding it, the pine trees, the water shimmering on the creek stream, the fresh air, the mountains, the glittering stars in the sky at night, wildlife, quiet, calm.....to us there is nothing better!
One of the things we like best about this is the location, in that it is close enough for easy access from Boulder, the Front Range, Denver, Lyons, Estes Park and so on, all are a pleasant drive away, so the restaurants and shopping and activities are all within easy reach, yet when we want to return back to the cabin and escape into a cozy cocoon of hushed quiet and gentle stillness, we can quickly retreat to this place of peace and find harmony and feel rejuvenated and recharged....we are blessed to be able to step back from the concrete and metal and glass and exhaust and trade that in for the trees and earth and water and air is something we never take for granted, and are so lucky to have found this are able to share it with you....ahhh life truly is good!
This is an absolutely charming cabin and surrounding area. You are in a secret valley with cliffs on either side of you and a brook bubbling between. Inside the cabin is tastefully furnished with artwork on the walls, a fireplace, and great furniture. Very clean as you would expect. The queen sized bed is extraordinarily comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook with. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to come home to. It is furnished with great consideration and personality!
To be honest, this is an EXCELLENT review that we don't really want to write...meaning that we hate that the incredible nature of this relaxing retreat will then be available for the whole world to see! Then what? The next time we want to sit quietly on the wrap around porch above the gurgling creek, talking quietly and reading books, it will probably be booked solid for years to come!!
But to be fair to the gracious owners, it just would not be fair for us to not say HOW GREAT THIS PLACE IS! As VRBO cabin renters, we finally found our home away from home. We enjoyed the peace and quiet splashed with a bit of jazz on an awesome stereo system...lying in bed listening to the night turn into morning as the creek continued on it's way...and having the comforts and tools of home, to cook and share great meals on the porch...these are just a few of the pleasures of this escape.
First and foremost, the property manager was extremely honest, friendly and helpful, and made reservations a breeze. Many of these management companies make you feel like they are doing you a favor by working with you and that was NOT the case here.
The cabin itself is a quiet and relaxing place within easy reach of all the RMNP hot-spots. The property is gorgeous and offered many modern amenities, most of which we did not use or need... It's hard to care about satellite TV when you can watch a giant owl eat a cutthroat trout for breakfast on the rocks outside the window... Yes, that happened here.
Many thanks for a relaxing getaway, I would book again.
We loved our week-long stay. The privacy, sound of the creek, fires every night in the great fireplace, the sunlight flooding the bedroom in the morning, the viewing of and listening to the screech owls in the night, and all close to Wild Basin/Estes Park for daily hikes. We'll be back.
We wanted a getaway and we found it! The setting was beautiful with the rocks, trees and rolling steam.
The cabin had all of the comforts of home; Fireplace, comfy bed, up to date bath, grill and fully equiped kitchen.Great hiking and fishing close by. After a relaxing breakfast of yummy banana bread and fruit (from our host), we explored the surrounding areas and came back to relax on the deck with music, games and beverages. We were so comfortable at the cabin we opted to stay there instead of leaving to dine at the famous Fawn Brook Inn as previously planned.
We left feeling rested and rejuvenated and plan to return.
My friend and I have rented lots of cabins in Colorado (we're from Louisville and Denver) and we've been looking for the perfect spot for us and our dogs for years. I think we finally found it. I have to say that it's so perfect that I was almost afraid to write a glowing review because then I'd have to share it. The interior is nicely updated with a full kitchen and bathroom, but still manages to maintain that "log cabin in the woods" feel. There was precut firewood, a beautiful large fireplace, a comfy couch and chairs, tv and a DVD player, a trunk full of games and peace and quiet. It felt like we were miles and miles from anyone else. And it's so close to Denver. I can't wait to experience it in winter and summer as well. We were there in the fall. I'd highly recommend this rental not just for the cabin itself but for the amazing personal touch of the rental company. We were met at the cabin and presented with all the makings for s'mores and pumpkin bread and raspberries for breakfast. Wow!
