'Your home was warm and inviting and quite spacious. The views were very nice. The location is exactly what you described: 'just minutes from everything'. We are glad we did not pass it up. We really felt at home. Thank you.' Lisa K. Seattle, WA.

What more can we say?
We are a family of six. We have four sons, Nathan (21 and a senior in college), Adam (16 and a Junior in high school), and six year old twins, Yonah and Remi (in kindergarten). Mac is a software engineer and Yazmin works from home as a project manager for solar installations. We have been very blessed with a wonderful family and good health. We enjoy the outdoors and helping charities through a non-profit venture Yazmin started when the twins were born and found herself out of a job.
Mac & Yazmin Peebles purchased this house in 2005
The minute we walked in the house, we fell in love with the views! We love that all the rooms are large and private and the living area is warm and conducive to family time. The deck is perfect for watching the changing colors of the Red Rocks, the stars, lightning showers during monsoon season, and hot air balloons in the mornings. Dinners al fresco are pure bliss!
We had visited the area and fell in love with the absolute beauty of the Verde Valley and everything it has to offer. We picked Cottonwood because it has not lost its old-town, quaint feel of small town America; and because it is literally in the middle of everything there is to do in the area.
We love to travel, but we are not fond of touristy places. We like to stay where regular folk live and experience the area like 'locals', not tourists. We support small businesses and eat at local neighborhood joints. Our home is located in a place where we can do that; where the neighbors are friendly and look out for each other.
If you stay in Sedona, you will find yourself driving through Cottonwood multiple times, because a lot of the beautiful, cool, and amazing places to see and visit are down this way. In fact,
Cottonwood is the heart of the Verde Valley Wine-Trail and the heart of what is known as the Turquoise Triangle (Jerome-Cottonwood-Sedona); where you can enjoy the Wine Trail from Page Springs to Jerome Ghost Town turned artist colony, Tuzigoot, Verde Canyon Train, Old Towns Cottonwood and Clarkdale, Camp Verde, Waterfront Park, Dead horse Ranch, Verde Railroad, Sycamore Canyon, Out of Africa, and much more!
This house was perfect for our family and very close to everything. With a big family,we really needed space that was affordable, nice and comfortable. This house is really a great deal. No hotel could match neither the space nor the price. And the views are great. We highly recommend it.
Although the house looks very simple on the photos, it is so attractive inside and has absolutely wonderful warm energy. In the minute we opened the door and entered, we feel at home. Location of the house is perfect to access Sedona's parks and it was plenty of the room in the house for 7 adults (3 couples +1). We definitely will asking the owners to stay at the house again. Thank you Mac and Yazmin for sharing your house with us.
This was our first time doing a vacation rental and we had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed hiking in the Sedona area and a day trip to the Grand Canyon. As for the house itself, it is clean and well equipped, has beautiful views, and is really set up to make visitors feel at home. Very comfortable beds. The heater stopped working at one point but the owners were on it right away, even having someone come over on a Sunday night. We definitely hope to be back, the sooner the better!
The house was clean and large enough for the 5 adults that were in our party. The community is very quiet. The directions we received from the owner were detailed and accurate. Our only surprise was that there isn't any TV availability. As stated, there is a TV that provides access to netflix but not to any "live" TV. That is the only reason for my 4-star rating. The appliances are in good condition and, as previously stated, the house was very clean. We called the owners with one issue (internet not working when we arrived) and they responded immediately and told us how to correct the problem. As long as TV isn't a consideration for you, this house is a good value for your money.
This property had old thread bare towels and dish cloths, laundry had been left in the dryer, there was an empty bottle of laudry detergent, not enough toilet paper, and the bed in the extra bedroom was so uncomfortable that noone could sleep in it (one adult couple had to sleep on lower beds of one of the bunk beds in order to get a good sleep). The floors had crumbs and dirt on them in the living room/kitchen.
However the location was great, the view was amazing, and the king bed was super comfortable. The home was large and spacious, and I loved that there were 3 bathrooms. Directions were clear and easily understood.
This house was perfect for the couple nights that we stayed in the Sedona area. Cottonwood is a great little town; very modern and old town Cottonwood is great. Dinner at the Tavern Grille in the old part of town was fantastic. Also the views from the Jerome Winery are amazing. The house is very cozy and has everything that you need. We watched the hot air balloons rise above Sedona while enjoying coffee on the large deck. Again, a great place to call home for a few nights. Much thanks!
From the red rocks of Sedona to Mingus Mountains of Jerome, accessibility is at its peak in this community well known for its attraction of tourists and families looking for a peaceful place to vacation. The Verde River flows through the town and the home is very close to its riparian habitat along the Verde River Watershed, which attracts nearly a third of the 900 species of birds in the United States and Canada—from the miniature hummingbird to broad-winged raptors. Many of these birds can be seen right from the home's backyard deck!
Cottonwood is bordered on the south, east and west by high mountains and on the north by mesas and buttes. Arizona’s Verde Valley is home to numerous National Monuments, State Parks and National Forests. At an elevation of 3,300 feet above sea level, this high desert enjoys all four seasons with comfortable weather year round.
Other Activities: state parks, river swimming, spas, 4-wheel riding, jeep rentals, art galleries, casino, indian ruins, archeology, geology, out of Africa Park
