Spectacular views, great location

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this homey little house. We arrived with a big storm--the first of the season. It was windy and wild for almost three days, but inside the house it was snug and warm--the wind didn't make a sound there. We could sit in the comfortably furnished living room and watch the storm. We brought plenty of books and were mesmerized by the ocean views, but if we'd wanted there were puzzles, games, and books for entertainment. For those who can't live without it, there's even a big screen tv.
When the weather improved--and we had another three days with fabulous weather--our central location meant that we could walk everywhere we wanted. Yachats State Park is a nice ten minute walk to the west; the entrance to the 804 trail, which we followed past The Adobe Resort to the beach, is about a ten minute waIk to the east.
Great restaurants (Ona, Drift Inn, Heidi's) were five minutes walk, but if we chose to stay home to eat, the kitchen was completely stocked with all the pots, pans, and other utensils that we needed. And there were plentiful supplies--basic spices, coffee filters, paper towels, garbage bags--I don't think we lacked for anything there. It's not fancy or rustic--it's like staying at home, except you are in the wonderful village of Yachats and the ocean is right outside your door.
