The condo is located on the Peninsula de Santiago, 30 minutes from the International airport. Manzanillo is located between Puerto Vallarta and Ixtapa on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The town of Manzanillo still holds lots of traditional Mexican flavor which other resort towns have lost.

Manzanillo is a great vacation destination. My friends loved it and vowed to return. I hope my wife and I can return as well.

Your condo is ideally located on the Santiago Peninsula.. The view, of the sail boats, ships, pelicans, cormorants, iguanas and the city lights across Manzanillo Bay at night, is spectacular. The condo is beautifully decorated and well equipped. A washing machine and dish washer are nice luxuries in Mexico. I particularly liked the number of electrical outlets, at least twice the usual number here in Mexico. The lighting is also far superior to any condo we have stayed in in Mexico.

We walked each morning. It was nice to come back to the cool afternoon breeze that your condominium captures so well. I also enjoyed afternoon snorkeling and swims immediately in front of the condo.

Fun in Manzanillo

This condo was in a great location. It was on the beach. The beach was small, but great snorkeling, and observing local fisherman getting their catch, and observing lots of action from sail boats. We could go to Las Hadas and Kamina Palace to eat at the restaurants or pass through to see other beaches. We could also rent skidoos and kayaks at Karmina Palace. Jose would help us with our espanol. Other people living near, mostly Canadians were for the most part very friendly and helpful. The pool was big and pleasant. The location was close to the bus and not too far from other beaches, like la Audencia Playa. The condo itself was roomy for 4 people with all the comforts of home.

Beautiful view

Rented the condo for a week together with my husband and another couple. We enjoyed Manzanillo and found it not very touristy and with a good combination of beaches and city life.
Condo pros:
* Beautiful view - we spent lots of time on the balcony reading and watching dolphins, boats, people, etc.
* Closeness to water - loved listening to the waves
* Clean and neat place with everything we needed
* Restaurants (a few) within walking distance
* Bus stop near by
* Nice neighbors (except the young folks who stayed up all Saturday night playing LOUD techno-pop!!)
Condo cons:
* The beach right in front of condo is very small and not very nice. We figured out how to go through Karmina (when the guards allowed it....) to other, larger beach, but found it very difficult to walk/run on, because of the soft sand and steep slope. We preferred Santiago, which can be reached by bus or taxi.
* Condo is on steep hill, so many stairs in both directions. Didn't bother us except when carrying suitcases, but condo would not work for someone with bad knees or condition.
* Pool was OK, but part of it is in the shade and there are only a few chairs around.
Suggestions to Don:
* A guestbook or similar where renters can write down their experiences, e.g. favorite restaurants, walks, trips, beaches, etc., for future guests to learn from.
* Instructions on how to get clean towels, how to get through Karmina and to the grocery store, how to take the bus, etc.
Overall, we had a great time with wonderful weather and lots of relaxation.

Manzanillo Beach Condo

The beach is very short 5 minutes walk from one end to the other in front of the property with 2 gated resort properties on each side. To get a long beach walk you need to walk around the properties, at least 30 minutes. We were disappointed as we thought the beach would be walkable in front without a major detour.
We came with 2 teenage boys who wanted to surf & play in the waves so we drove to Santiago Beach each day.
The view is beautiful from the porch and the place is clean and neat. Beds were comfortable.
We were not told that the property manager can supply water until the final day so we hauled water up and down a number of steps.
Not enough hot water for 4 people to take shower.
Lightbulbs were not working on porch outside, refrigerator, bedroom. No instructions on counter to tell us if water was drinkable (it is not),
Property has a very small pool, no one used and it is partly in shade.
Lots of steps, I did like the exercise, if you have bad knees, could be problem.
WE LOVE MANZANILLO this is our second trip and when we go again we will rent on Santiago Beach, miles of it and great surfing and swimming.
Owner's Response: 1) The tap water is indeed safe for cooking, bathing, etc. Many prefer bottled water for drinking which can easily be purchased on site or at all nearby stores.
2) The Condo has a very large Hot Water Tank which can accomodate the Full Washing Machine, Dishwaster as well as 4 tenants.
3) The Condo is Oceanfront. The Complex only private pool is 20 steps up from the Condo while the private beach and walkway with easy access to Manzanillo Beach and the Commerical areas is only 20 steps down from the Condo. A short 5 minute walk through Karmina Palace will place you on Manzanillo Beach; which runs along Manzanillo Bay; great for large waves and long walks towards town. The more crowded Santiago Beach is easily accessible by local bus which can be found up on the road in front of the entrance to the Condo Complex.
4) All Condo related problems are always addressed quickly and efficiently by the Bilingual Property Manager with no charge to the renters.
