The apartment called 'Florian' is situated in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Florence’s historical centre, on the 4th floor without lift of a prestigious XVI century palace that once belonged to the Ghiberti family, one of Florence’s most important historical families. Spending time in my apartment is to be accompanied by the shadow of the magnificent dome of Brunelleschi, the grandeur of Giotto’s bell tower and the splendour of Vasari’s frescos, in an unforgettable dream that Florence will dream with you and bring you great joy and an even greater desire to return. Florian directly face the Duomo, giving you the sensation that you could reach out and touch its magnificent green and white marble facade. Piazza del Duomo is now a pedestrian area. The apartment has been completely restored in Florentine style, but with all modern comforts.

Florian apartment is situated in the historical heart of Florence and all the museums, art galleries and monuments are few minutes on foot. There are also banks, post offices, a hospital, chemistries, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Piazza del Duomo is now a pedestrian area and my apartment faces directly our Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.

  • DEPOSIT (advance payment) 30% of the total amount, either by wire transfer (Bank to Bank) or by PayPal (Credit card) 3 days from your request to confirm the apartment. After we got your deposit, we will send you a voucher by e-mail for your confirmed reservation.
    BALANCE
    At the moment of the handing over of the keys, in cash.
    TERMINATION OF BOOKING / RESERVATION
    The cancellation of the reservation will have to be communicated by e-mail / fax at least 60 days before the date of arrival, otherwise you will lose the advance payment. The advance will be given back either by money transfer (bank swift) after having detracted the different charges and the bank commissions or via PayPal
    SECURITY DEPOSIT ( for any damaged caused )
    200 Euro or 250$ on your arrival it will be given back when you leave the apartment ( after a final check of the apartment)
    CONDITIONS
    Prices of your stay depend on the season and on the length of the stay.
    Winter season: heating Euro 4 per day
  • In the case of any name changes or additional guests, you are kindly requested to notify the owner in advance.

    ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TIME
    Arrival: check-in is done by appointment with the owner.
    Departure day: check-out is to be done no later than 9.30 am.
    (If you leave before 7.30 am nobody will be able to check the flat, so the check out will be made the previous evening).
    The reservation implies that the general information and conditions have been read and approved.

Wonderful location with in walking distance to all classic Florentine venues. Quiet building with easy access to buses to anywhere. Many breakfast outlets and restaurants closeby. The Duomo bells are silent at night. Nightlife at outdoor cafe on next block goes until late, ear plugs a good option if light sleeper. Remember that ground is floor 1! So a 4th floor walk up is really the fifth floor. Stairs are easy, well lit. Worth the climb! Friendly and helpful owner who speaks English. We will stay here again.

apartment was perfect for us. Luca, the owner even
purchased Siena/Fiorentino football tickets for us and
our son, who visited for a week. Great location.

Great location! Easy to reach everywhere. Apartment is cute and clean. Although it was first time to visit frolence, I was so comfortable. Because of Luca who was owner of this apartment. He was so nice and friendy. I will stay Luca's apartment when I visit there again. Luca, sorry for taking a time to leave the comment. I love your apartment!!

My family stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and we really enjoyed the accomodations. The apartment is very nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The view is spectacular. The apartment is in the center of Florence so it is convenient to all areas in the city. Luca is very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Florence.

My friend and I stayed in this chic little apartment for one week. We booked through vrbo, and the emails I received from Luca were so friendly that I felt comfortable booking this apartment. Luca met us at the apartment, and was a charming and hospitable as his emails.
The apartment is all brand new, clean and creatively and fashionably decorated. I liked the faux-suede couch - very Italian! Even though it was small, it had the feeling of spaciousness as it is spread out, and there are four steps up to the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom fully equipped. The posted photos are exactly what the apartment looks like, athough the proximity of the Duomo church is even more unbelievable when you are there. The apartment is in an ancient Palazzo, and we enjoyed going through the huge door directly off the famous Duomo square. It was noisy, but the double glazed windows helped. Note: there are mosquitos.
Others have mentioned the 87 steps (we counted them too!), so of course this apartment is not good for people with mobility problems, but great for burning off all the pasta we ate!
