Providenciales - Provo Lodge Rental Photos and Description
Lodge, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
Hodge Lodge is a historic home on the award-winning private island of Parrot Cay. It is the original privately held property on the island and is located on the beach at the northeastern edge of the island, offering a 360 degree view of the sea and the sand. It was built in 1970 as a fishing lodge and has evolved into a relaxed, comfortable, charming family home. Built over the sea, the house sits high in the air, and the surrounding deck takes advantage of the constant easterly breeze and provides outdoor sun and shade all day. The large open floor plan on the top level creates a space for all to enjoy whether playing games, preparing meals, dining or just relaxing with the view. Two Balinese day beds in one corner provide the perfect spot for an afternoon nap. A new, fully equipped kitchen provides everything the gourmet cook could need, including a new wine fridge. Two outdoor dining areas offer a choice of views and breezes for dining over the water. For indoor dining, a large round table seats up to eight. The lower level offers two master suites with adjoining screened patios, each offering views of the sea from your king-sized bed. A third bedroom has two twin beds and its own private deck over the water. A great master bathroom provides a stall shower, but is seldom used, as our guests prefer the private stone outdoor shower. A short path leads you to our very private stretch of beach where the sea is warm and shallow. From there, our guests can continue down the beach to enjoy the Parrot Cay Hotel beach and pool. A beach walk to Rocky Point offers a full mile of flat white sand and turquoise sea. The island has much to explore by cart path whether walking, biking or driving our buggy. Water activities such as: diving, fishing, boating, can be arranged for you by our house manager. Hodge Lodge adjoins the exclusive Como Parrot Cay Resort and Spa and our guests are welcome to use all of their amenities. Upon arrival, simply visit the front desk and open an account with a credit card which will then allow you to charge all food and services purchased at the resort. Please visit the Parrot Cay Resort and Spa website to learn more about their world renowned facility. We offer our home at a rate that makes it available to our friends and guests who would like to visit Parrot Cay, but prefer a home to hotel accommodations. We feel this presents the best of both worlds: the finest resort offerings and the comfort, privacy and warmth of a home. We hope you will visit soon!

About The Owner
Hodge Lodge has been our vacation home and a source of much joy and many adventures for more than 40 years.
In 1971 Russell and Alice Hodge built this house. They were avid fishermen and flew their single engine plane throughout the Caribbean fishing and exploring and were struck with the Turks and Caicos Islands. In the late 60’s there was a plan to develop Parrot Cay which Russel Hodge was a part of. The development fell through but Russell and Alice were taken with their lot and Parrot Cay and decided to build on their own. They purchased the land directly from the TCI Government in a time when there was no power, no phone, no cell phones and only CB marine radio to communicate. Russell designed the house, bought every piece of material in Florida and chartered a barge to land directly on the beach at the property. All material was offloaded by hand and the house was put up using local labor and contractors commuting by boat (often sailboat). Russell also built an airstrip on the south end of the island where he flew directly to Parrot Cay.
The house was built and remains rustic on purpose and we hope that that factor is as charming to you as it is to us.
In the early 90’s we watched the resort being built. Later, we watched as COMO Hotels renovated and finally opened the resort. Hodge Lodge is the only part of the island that is not owned by COMO Shambhala Resort at Parrot Cay.

What makes this lodge unique
Parrot Cay is a 3 mile long island. It is a peaceful and healing place. Parrot Cay Resort is the only other property on island and we both understand the importance of Parrot Cay as a place to recharge, refresh and reconnect. It is an ideal place for families to come to spend quality time together and to get reconnected to nature. The ocean is an incredible turquoise blue and the sand is fine white powder.
You are sure to leave feeling vibrant and healthy.
Guestbook comments from the manager
I literally have not stopped bragging about my trip to the Hodge Lodge since I left a month ago, so I’m more happy to use this review as an excuse to brag some more! For our one year wedding anniversary, my husband and I wanted to find a place that was both secluded and comfortable. Before we started our search, we dreamed up a beachfront home on a private island with turquoise waters and white sand. A few clicks later, our dream was completely realized when we stumbled across this listing. If you can imagine, the island and the house are even more beautiful than they appear in the pictures. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:
Booking: Andrea replied to our inquiry within the hour and was incredibly helpful in helping us pick the dates. We had the entire trip booked in under 24 hours.
Arrival: Andrea set everything up for us before we arrived. We had transportation waiting for us the second we landed. We opted to have groceries included in our package so when we got in the car at the airport, our groceries were already waiting for us. The house was immaculate and welcoming and unlike any vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. It has a lot of character and yet feels luxurious.
Trip: My husband and I had planned on doing absolutely nothing. We thought we’d just relax on the beach for our week. We were completely surprised by how much we ended up wanting to do and how easy it was to arrange activities (Leonard Forbes and COMO Hotel helped a lot). We went out on a boat most days, enjoyed fishing and snorkeling and paddle boarding. Parrot Cay is a magical island and we felt so blessed to spend a week there. It was a perfect mix of romantic, adventurous and relaxing. We’re already planning our next trip, this time with some friends in tow.
