This unique beach front island lodge provides perfect seclusion for a relaxing getaway. Built in 1971, this family vacation home has a wrap around deck with unrestricted views of the island and the ocean, just right for watching the sunrise and sunset!

The main floor has an open plan and includes two casual seating areas, a dining space, a fully equipped kitchen and a half bathroom. The living space includes two Balinese day beds for hot afternoon naps, books and games for entertainment. The elevated deck includes a grill and table and chairs for al fresco dining under the stars.

The downstairs has three bedrooms and a full bathroom. Two bedrooms have king beds, one with a view to the ocean, the other with a view of the island greenery. The open design allows the breeze to keep the bedrooms cool even on the hottest summer days. The third bedroom has twin beds, a private patio and a view of the ocean. There is also an outside shower for rinsing off after a day on the beach.

Activities such as scuba diving, fishing or trips to other islands can be arranged as needed.

About The Owner

Hodge Lodge has been our vacation home and a source of much joy and many adventures for more than 40 years.

In 1971 Russell and Alice Hodge built this house. They were avid fishermen and flew their single engine plane throughout the Caribbean fishing and exploring and were struck with the Turks and Caicos Islands. In the late 60’s there was a plan to develop Parrot Cay which Russel Hodge was a part of. The development fell through but Russell and Alice were taken with their lot and Parrot Cay and decided to build on their own. They purchased the land directly from the TCI Government in a time when there was no power, no phone, no cell phones and only CB marine radio to communicate. Russell designed the house, bought every piece of material in Florida and chartered a barge to land directly on the beach at the property. All material was offloaded by hand and the house was put up using local labor and contractors commuting by boat (often sailboat). Russell also built an airstrip on the south end of the island where he flew directly to Parrot Cay.

The house was built and remains rustic on purpose and we hope that that factor is as charming to you as it is to us.

In the early 90’s we watched the resort being built. Later, we watched as COMO Hotels renovated and finally opened the resort. Hodge Lodge is the only part of the island that is not owned by COMO Shambhala Resort at Parrot Cay.

The Owner purchased this lodge in 1971
What makes this lodge unique

Parrot Cay is a 3 mile long island. It is a peaceful and healing place. Parrot Cay Resort is the only other property on island and we both understand the importance of Parrot Cay as a place to recharge, refresh and reconnect. It is an ideal place for families to come to spend quality time together and to get reconnected to nature. The ocean is an incredible turquoise blue and the sand is fine white powder.

You are sure to leave feeling vibrant and healthy.

Close access to some of the best fishing and diving in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

RELAXING!

Wow! What a great place to spend a relaxing week with our family. We loved everything about Hodge Lodge, Parrot Cay Resort and the islands. The fishing was an adventure, we caught a barracuda, octopus, plus many strawberry grouper and John even hooked his first bonefish on the fly rod. This is our kind of place. Thank you so much for sharing with us-we hope to return!

Most Amazing!

This has been the most amazing vacation we have had in so long. It is a truly blessed house with great spirit all around. Clover and Poacher were really sweet too. Pencil us in for next year! (If you can stand being away!!) We only wish you were here!

Memory Forever

This place is like a stress reliever. I love all of it's wildlife (most important the hermit crabs) and its beautiful views. I loved it-it is a memory forever!
