Ski:
With an average annual snowfall of over 150 inches, the Gaylord area is blessed with some of the most reliable snow conditions in Northern Michigan. The area's downhill ski resorts and nine cross-country ski areas provide groomed trails for a great winter vacation at Burke's Tile House on Lake Manuka. Our favorite, just East of Gaylord, on Wilkinson Road, ever-expanding Treetops Resort offers both nordic and Alpine skiing. Over 20k of cross country trails include a 5.5K lighted loop. Treetops also operates a complete ski equipment and clothing store.

The striking scenery northern Michigan is known for, only enhances enjoyment of golf enthusiasts who visit the Gaylord Golf Mecca to play some of the area's twenty-two award-winning golf courses. The Gaylord Golf Mecca is a beautiful, rustic woods and lakes paradise where long, warm summer days continue into early evening, allowing extended play. Treetops Resort, The Natural, Otsego Club, Black Bear, Wilderness Valley, Gaylord Country Club, Mrash Ridge and Michaywe are just a few highlights within minutes of Burke's Tile House on Lake Manuka.
