We purchased this property for our own personal use and after acquiring another riverfront property decided to turn this one into a nightly rental.
Kathy Sisco purchased this house in 2000
We loved to spend time on the White River and had always camped there with our children. All of our grandchildren have been trout fishing since they were big enough to hold a rod.
Quite and peaceful, nothing like watching the fog roll in at night, the blue heron flying and catching a fish or the Bald Eagle flying by. It is the best place in the world to unwind from our daily busy lives.
I recently spent several days fishing the White River, and chose The Trout House as my base. Great home, situated within steps of the river right above Wildcat Shoal. I was able to fish on high water, and would have had easy access to Wildcat Shoal and other spots on low water. Very, very comfortable, with all the amenities. The kitchen in particular was great - everything I needed to prepare great meals. I look forward to going back soon!
Hmnnnn...better than perfect is how I would describe our stay. We had stayed at the Trout House only 6 weeks before for the first time and could not wait to go again.
The house is very nice - it is literally on the river. The fishing was great. We hired a guide which I would highly recommend. The kitchen is well stocked, it has an older TV but satellite works fine. Plenty of space for all your stuff.
Listen - you are going fishing. This is not the Ritz but it is very nice, very homey. It will accomodate six people fine with a large queen size bed and four single beds.
Very nice folks own this place and it comes with a complimentary bottle of their own BBQ sauce !This place is five stars - WE LOVE IT !!!
