We are now open for Summer 2013! Enjoy long quiet days on Burt Lake or short visits to major attractions of Mackinaw Island, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, or Gaylord in minutes. Home has been completely renovated for the 2007 season with all new baths, granite kitchen and flooring.

Our lake is particularly good for small children. It starts with a Beautiful sandy beach in a protected cove. We sit on a large sand bar with shallow water to allow safe enjoyment. We have a large dock for sunbathing and reading or move to a two tier deck and enjoy lakes views close to the water. Kitchen, laundry, or eating areas allow easy access to the lake to watch your family. Large home with every convenience to enjoy large or multiple families.

This 3000 square foot home features four bedrooms plus sleeper couch, 3 bathrooms, and sleeps 12-14 people. Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds, the fourth has custom log bunk beds that are full size on top and bottom. Gorgeous sunset views... Large deck overlooking lake (seating for ten)... Easy access to I-75. Rustic Knotty Pine and Beam architecture with Cathedral Ceiling. Large separate Family Room. Woodburning Fireplace. Large Dock to hold boats.

In Winter, enjoy ice skating, down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling trails, hiking, and deer watching in Northern Michigan. Just 20 minutes from Boyne Highlands, Nub's Nob, or Otsego Ski Club. Power Boat, Pontoon, or Jet-ski Rental available on the lake at Indian River Marina. Just five minutes from Scenic Indian River Inland Waterway. Minutes from horseback riding, golf, tennis, or river rafting.

Good Location, Great Swimming

The owners of this Burt Lake home have done a great deal to make a family vacation enjoyable. Adequate kitchen, good bathrooms, wonderful sandbar for excellent swimming, perfect location with easy access off of I-75. However, we found the beds to be almost unbearably hard and the furniture well used. That is, it still looks good but is uncomfortable. No good place to read a book comfortably. Also I tried to call and then sent a text that the handle on the coffee pot was unsafe. No response and finally replaced it with a Walmart special which we left there. No response or thanks. Great place if you can be outside and in the water. Not so comfortable inside. Would not recommend it at this time.
