Bucerias Vacation Rental condo

We actually arrived April 1/08 but the owner had overbooked by a day and let us know previously that she would put us up somewhere else for the night. She sent us to a private residence nearby where the family treated us like royalty and it was beautiful. Costa Dorada itslef is an older but very well maintained property. The buildings and the area are very safe and clean. There is a security guard on duty after 8 PM. but we never felt we needed to have one. We were very familiar with the area and the property before going there and it is right on the beach, which is a great stretch for walking. Bucerias is a short walk to shopping, eating and drinking. There are so many good restaurants in the area that we didn't get the same one twice. The staff is excellent and very accomodating. Our unit, though one of the smallest was fine for a couple.
We almost hate to recommend it because then it won't be available but the truth is it is great price for the location and accomodation. We had a rental car so we were able to travel to some of the other towns up the coast and into Puerto Vallarta but it is not needed. The bus service in this area is good and can be fun. The people are friendly, especially if you don't go with attitude. There is a now large store (MEGA) outside town wehre you can get anything you want with food etc.

We would certainly return.
