The 'Austin Trails Retreat,' with 1400 sq. feet, has two bedrooms & two full baths with a large, open concept living-dining area that is accented with a vaulted, cedar beamed ceiling. Great value for 2 couples. The home is furnished with a casual elegance fitting of the Austin Hill Country. The living room has a natural rock, gas-burning fireplace that spans the entire east wall. Light hardwood floors compliment the dark chocolate brown leather furniture in the living room. The view through the four large picture windows boasts a beautiful wooded and rocky xeriscaped yard, You will feel as if you are in a resort spa. Step out onto the screened-in deck and enjoy the gardens, while you watch the birds and the occasional deer pass through.

Each carpeted bedroom, both with comfortable queen size beds, has its own bathroom, which makes it perfect for two couples, who might want to share the expense. One bath has a combination tub and shower and the master bath has a shower with a pale green vessel sink and large mirrored cabinet.

This beautiful 1400 sq. foot home is a 2 unit duplex which my husband and I own. Being able to extend our Austin hospitality through our home gives us great pleasure. We hope our Doe Trail Retreat will meet your needs.

What we appreciate most is the proximity to shopping, restaurants, business offices and banks, the two major north to south expressways, Mopac and Hwy 360 and Zilker Park.

What we love about our Austin Trails Retreat is the screen-in back porch which affords privacy and an escape from the hustle and bustle. Sit in one of our rockers and over look the greenbelt area, rocky bolder, oak tree filled back yard and xriscaped garden.

BEAUTIFUL WOODED RETREAT, GREAT LOCATION

This well appointed property is a wonderful choice for someone wanting a great central location, quiet setting, lots of natural light, and a fully equipped, well maintained home. The screened in porch gives the whole house a naturally lit, retreat feel. Everything in Austin is about 5 or so minutes away so the location is just perfect. The owners were very warm and welcoming and treated our daughter to a much adored gift. This property was a winner with our family.

Great, private lot, clean and accommodating home and Diane and Ben were great to work with. The location is close to everything (we walked to get coffee each morning). All the amenities, beer in fridge (didn't last long) and modern conveniences. Highly recommend this rental!

GREAT LOCATION, YET SO PRIVATE

So much to see and do near-by. Easy access to downtown and daytrips. Liked the location at a dead-end street, quiet peaceful setting. We visited Congress Ave, Sixth Street, a shopping mall and restaurants and never got into heavy traffic.
Great eating and living area. Loved looking out to wooded back yard. Enjoyed sitting on screened in back deck reading and visiting. No other houses visible, giving a very private feel.
Luxuriously furnished, lots of light, and very comfortable. Did not want to leave...will stay here again!!

This recently remodeled and updated 'Austin Trails' Retreat, located in the prestigious West Lake Hills area, is in a quiet, wooded and secure neighborhood with shopping, restaurants, fast food and service businesses (pharmacy, dry cleaners, banks) within 1 to 3 blocks. Only 2.5 miles to Zilker Park for swimming, boating, and hiking/walking along Ladybird Lake. And, of course, Zilker Park is the happening place for ACL and SXSW. Only 3.6 miles to Auditorium Shores and Palmar Auditorium. You can find the nightlight of SOCO (Congress Ave) and 6th Street, 5 miles , and less than 1.3 miles to Barton Creek Square Mall, with Nordstroms, Dillards,Macy's and more. Darrell Royal Football Stadium is 6 miles. If you are coming for the Formula 1, Grand Prix, the Park and Ride shuttle will load at Waterloo Park,15th st and Trinity, only 5 1/2 miles away.
