Since my initial visit to Hawaii in 1976, the Kona Coast has been my favorite destination! With the fabulous village atmosphere, and the world class scuba diving, sport fishing, Golf, and breathtaking scenery... the big island offers the most variety , the best weather, and awesome up to date convenience.
My Kona condo offers luxurious beautiful ocean views, heavenly bedding, prime location, walking distance to the hub of town, and such plush decor that I am content to hide-away for weeks!
Just to let you know...we had the time of our lives! We absolutely loved everything about the property...everything was there and met our expectations Monika. It was great to meet your Mom as she is a wonderful generous lady. (fresh tuna and Chocolate Mac Pie). We bought and left a couple of beach chairs and a 26 of Margarita mix...hope Sheila enjoyed, tee hee!

When we arrived at the condo we had a very warm welcome from the property manager. The condo was exactly as the photos showed, very clean and comfortable and it had everything we needed. Nice view and we saw dolphins and occasional whales. There was construction going on in front of the condo, not what I wanted to hear at 6:30 in the morning but we got used to it and we didn't spend much time at the condo during the day. We were within walking distance to shopping, dining and a fabulous farmers market....fresh fruit and vegetables daily! Overall we had a great time and we plan on returning next year, I would recommend this condo. :)
We have just completed a two-week stay at this property and would not hesitate to book again. The location is great, very convenient to the market, shops, museum, pier, restaurants, etc.. The property is older, but the unit has been nicely re-furbished; and is very comfortable. There is something charming about Kailua Village, the people are friendly and property manager is helpful. Laundry facilities on-site. This unit is suitable for a couple--in general, I would not recommend Kailua Village for families with children.

Very close to Alee street with plenty of shops etc.
No dishwashing tablets found. So had a bit of an inconvenience and there is construction going on outside the place. so tends to get noisy during the day.
We truly enjoyed this condo...well cared for and very clean! Owners property manager was there to greet us and maintained contact throughout our stay to ensure we were comfortable. Unfortunately the charming church that was in front of the condo building has been demolished and is in the process of being rebuilt. Although we found it somewhat fascinating to watch, it did get a bit annoying with all the heavy equipment working from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Good thing we were out most of the day!
We would love to stay in this perfectly located unit again but will most likely wait until construction is complete.
Having been to other islands many times and never the Big Island, we decided that now was the time for the two of us to check it out. This condo couldn't have been more perfect for what we needed! The bed is to die for, I normally take forever to fall asleep and I was out for the night within seconds of my head hitting the pillow. The kitchen is gorgeous, and had everything we needed for cooking and bbq'ing. Having the smaller flatscreen tv in the bedroom in addition to the big one in the living room is a nice touch, especially for movies at the end of a busy day! Plenty of storage with a ton of hangers. Everything was very clean and in it's place. Never used the ac, just kept the fans on and the windows open for the breeze! The only thing that I would do to improve would be to put full curtains on the windows. We are early risers in Hawaii and get up around 7am, but some mornings it was difficult to sleep past 630 because of the light coming through. Good thing I had my sleep mask with me! The church next door also does a service at 7am on Sunday, and as much as the sound of singing was a nice way to wake up for me as I get up then anyways, it was quite unusual! This is a multi-use area though, residental and businesses, so do keep that in mind, you are not at a resort out in the middle of nowhere! We loved being able to walk to dinner and explore the town without driving. The many benefits of this condo greatly outweigh the 7am wakeups! Especially the location! The lounger out on the patio at first looked too big to be out there, but once you lay down on it, you will completely understand why it makes perfect sense:). Overall an amazing little place with everything we needed in the perfect location!
Everything you need is in the condo, in walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities - whatelse could you want for your vacation! Stayed here for 10 wonderful days in January.
Walk one block to World Famous Alii Drive and have coffee at an internet cafe, or an oceanfront breakfast. Take an after breakfast walk along Alii Drive and browse the shops and historical sites. Plan a morning or afternoon at the sandy beach by the pier on Alii Drive where you can rent paddle boards and other gear to play in the tropical waters. Plan a snorkel cruise that stops to let you swim by Dolphin pods, and view all the tropical life in Hawaii's beautiful ocean.
