Located in a private community with a lake /beach for swimming, boating, and fishing. Within a short walk is Devils Nose Trailhead. Our cabin backs into Sleepy Creek WMA which consists of 23,000 acres of wild and wonderful WV. Here you can fish, hike, camp, and hunt.

Sleepy Stay

The property is quite during the nights and the neighborhood is active during the day. Being able to walk down to some trails and have others less than 5 minutes away was perfect for us.

Wonderful stay!

Very neat and tidy place. The owners of this place had everything set out for you. They had medical information for yourselves just in case something happened and a vet clinic listed just in case you brought a pet and something happened to them. They put attractions on there and great places to eat, which really helped us because we didn’t know anything about going down there. 10 out of 10 again the only thing I would complain about the water lol but that’s not their fault, and I’m used to city water with no smell. Spoiled I guess you can say. But thank you to these owners, because honestly it was a wonderful stay.

Cabin in the Woods

Lovely little cabin in the woods looks just like the photos. Cindy (host) was great and responded to messages and questions quickly, and even left us a welcome basket of snacks and information. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (minus the food, of course). My cell service was a bit scarce in the area, but wi-fi is provided at the cabin, which worked for phone functionality, but was sometimes spotty while streaming Netflix, etc on the TV (though ultimately, it worked well enough). The area, though surrounded by neighboring houses, was quiet and still provided the feeling of privacy/seclusion. 4x4 is recommended, as the roads are steep uphill in spots, and the cabin is on a dirt road, which could be tricky in snow or rain/mud. There isnt much, in terms of grocery shopping, nearby, so a bit of travel is required if you plan to go anywhere. All in all, my boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay, and would definitely consider visiting again if we travel to the area again.
