My husband and I have always preferred staying in vacation rentals while traveling, but now that we have a baby, a clean, comfortable, spacious rental is a must. This rental is absolutely immaculate! From the polished concrete floors to the beautiful counters in the kitchen and the sparkling white bathroom, I had no reservations about letting my 9 month old crawl all over the place and explore his temporary home.
A vacation rental such as this far exceeds a hotel room when traveling with a baby. The exceptionally accommodating owner made sure we had all the comforts of home, including a brand new pack and play (with sheets), an infant bath tub, a high chair, and a changing table. Other thoughtful touches included a package of baby wipes in the changing table and several baby books displayed on the windowsill near the crib. It made traveling with a baby so easy! There were also locally made muffins and scones, yogurt, and even k-cups for the coffee maker (cream and sugar provided as well). It was so nice not to have to worry about running out in the morning to find a store and purchase these things on day one. The kitchen is well-equipped and we prepared several meals there.
The rental is spacious and beautiful. Having a separate bedroom where we could put our baby to sleep in the evenings so that my husband and I could enjoy the evening relaxing by the fire pit or watching tv, without having to tiptoe and whisper was wonderful. We were all so comfortable, we really didn't want to leave!
The owner and her family are fabulous people. They truly want their guests to feel at home. They are available if/when you need them, but completely respect your privacy otherwise. The rental is even nicer than the pictures demonstrate. The value of this place is incredible. My family and I love to travel and don't often visit the same place twice, but the beauty of Asheville and the comfort and ease of travel the farmhouse provides has convinced us to return this summer. We know from experience what a schlep traveling with baby stuff is. Not having to bring one's own pack-n-play, and having a changing table sounded like heaven to us; we're glad you agree!
