Getting there : : By Air: Lyon or Geneva Airport - approx. 3hrs transfer. By Train: Moutiers Station - Bus or taxi to resort. By Car: Autoroute to Albertville. N90 (dual carriageway) to Moutiers. Follow signs. The nearest arrival train station is Bourg Saint Maurice.

Beginners can use the free ski lIfts beside the resort before venturing in the main ski lifts, which operate from late November until the beginning of May. With 8 green, 25 blue, 29 red and 5 black pistes plus 124km of Cross-Country trails in Val Thorens, the Trois Valleys ski domain is the largest in the world and has 1400 Snow Cannons, and a lift capacity of 243,000 skiers per hour.
