Beautiful, larger home across the street from the ocean in the Sandpiper neighborhood of Waldport. Five bedroom, 2 bath on two levels with deck that has wonderful ocean views. Large rec room on first level with pool table. wifi

This spacious 2 -level family home sits across the street from easy beach access, very quiet neighborhood street, and has an upstairs ocean view. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, two with queen beds, and small bedroom has a twin. There is a full bath upstairs and one downstairs, as well as two more bedrooms, one with 2 twins and the other with a queen bed. Additionally, there are two sleeper sofas. Other features include 2 fireplaces, 2 TV's, 2 VCRs, DVD, video library, pool table, ping pong table, shuffleboard, barbecue grill, washer/dryer, microwave, espresso machine, and an oversized water heater. Foos ball table also available. Wifi also.

Some old friends and I that had scattered throughout the country for new jobs and all met up (rather, we gathered) at the house over the New year's holiday to reconnect and had a wonderful time! The house was clean, had a great view, had a nice big kitchen and table for meals, and comfy beds. Thanks!

This was our 16th stay in The Gathering Place for our 16th summer at Bayshore. We love 'our' summer beach house.

The only bad thing was my mom falling at GGs where my cousins were staying. The garbage cans were on the sidewalk on the side of the house. When she walked around them she tripped on one of the rocks that was out of line with the others. She fell on a sharp rock and cut her thumb. Twelve stitches were needed to sew the skin back on her thumb. This was done at the Newport Hospital in the emergency room. We are so thankful she did not hit her head. She was put on a painkiller and when she got home to Springfield she had to make an appointment with her doctor who had to prescribe antibiotics and a tetanus shot. She has been referred to a hand specialist due to the severity of the injury. Tendons were traumatized in the accident.

The cleaning ladies for our rental were very concerned about the garbage cans and rocks at GGs so they told us they were going to make sure the trip hazard was remedied. They were very sweet & kind, and wanted to quickly fix the problem. :-)

Manager responded on 8/2/2012:
We are so sorry that your grandmother fell and injured herself. There are no rocks out of place, it's a rockery that divides the two homes. I am not sure what she tripped on but we do feel badly about it. Hope she will be okay and thank you for being so nice, and thank you for coming for sixteen years!!!!
